this speculation is further supported by the fact that noelle began marching down her path "Since Dess left". the incident with a dark fountain and dess's disappearance is tied to gaster and now we know that it's very likely that gaster caused it all. as from there, deltarune was hijacked.

i now understand why it felt like there were no lore in chapter 5. because there was, but when it comes down to forgotten man and gaster - toby obfuscates it. flowery's death to a man with holes in his hands was supposed to be a big reveal, but of course only schizo theorists grabbed onto that.

I still really like The Ruins and Toriel's House as a setting.

Deep down I feel that no matter how "woke" Toby gets, there will always be that part in him that may reflexively act like a chud. Just recently I saw on Xitter some non-binary user with a Seth pfp call a guy a nigger for not using they to refer to Seth.
