Undertale / Deltarune / Toby Fox Discussion

How spiteful are these faggots to shit on something their fellow travelers made because it's quality somewhat matches what they are making?
Why are you attributing such malice to them? Toby himself said in the 10th anniversary stream that he likes seeing people create their own stories and characters in Deltarune instead of just playing around with the same few backdrops and characters. In what world would that guy send or allow someone under his command to send a sassy fuck-you to fan creators like that?

It seems that Willyjwillyj and other people spilled the beans on Shayy. (archive.ph link)

(I do not know how to archive Google Docs links because i am a huge retard, and the doc is formatted in a way where regular archiving doesn't get everything, so if anyone could help out with that, i'd appreciate it.)

TL;DR: Troon Speedrunner Youtuber turned out to be a pedo and a sex pest, millions are shocked.
Incredibly late but I was reading the doc for the first time and I don't know where else to complain about it. The doc overly long and a lot of the pictures in another persons section are broken so I skimmed most of it and may very well not have an accurate view but this part pisses me off:

Someone in the doc "expressed discomfort" that the content creator posted nudes on their private twitter that they followed because they (the person complaining) checked it in class and saw porn. They ask shayy to censor their nudes because of this and when Shayy suggests removing them from the circle this is apperently not an option because they "use this account to check on my friends". Nigga just unfollow their twitter then? You clearly have an explanation as to why. Certain corners of the internet are plauged with people asking others to curate their content for them instead of doing it themselves.

I don't know how accurate the accusations against this person are because the doc is overly long and a lot pictures in another persons section are broken so I skimmed it but I'm going to side with shayy in this one particular instance.

To add a bit of context, this video is less about the meme and more of an analysis of characters from chapter 5, done by the same guy who did "How chapter 5 went downhill".
I'm particularly fascinated with his analysis of Blue, describing him as a cult leader based on how he treats the other flowers.
Bergentrück theory is brought at the very end, mostly as a joke.

I found this art and i thought you guys might like it.

While we are at it, i feel that another waste with Berdly shoved aside is the potential of his interactions with the fuck squad beyond Chapter 2, specially with Susie. Not in a shipping way, more in a "they have some slight parallels", in how both of them overcompensate personality wise, Susie being a bully and Berdly being a smartass. Though, based on the speculation and the weird route, i wonder if it's intentional, with Berdly being a Wild Card in both normal and Weird Route and Susie seemingly breaking into the story as you guys have been theorizing.

Something that article pointed out is that until recently, every darkner had some sort of clear parallel to a light world object. Chapter 5 just completely forgot to do that.

Like yeah they're plant-themed, but what objects are they supposed to be? Where in Flower King is there an object that could be turned into a scarecrow?

Sure he's a callback to Topchef, but Topchef was identifiably a top. Where are there hops in Flower King? There were so many random objects in Flower King that could have been made into darkners yet barely any were used. Does Asgore have beer in his fridge?

Other than le wholesome heckin doggo bait, what is this supposed to be?

Are these bugs that were in the building when the fountain was made? They explained the special rules for how plantners transform in dark worlds, what about bugners?

These are just flower darkners, pretty straightforward. That said, I bet bottom dollar that at least one of these things will appear in Castle Town in Chapter 6, which will contradict everything they said about plantners to explain why the main flowers can't be taken with us.

Now I know a lot of people don't have the best opinion of bug fables (I don't understand it, it's genuinely a really good game) but they did the concept way more justice. Once things start getting serious in the story, you stop hearing the usual battle mix and get a new song entirely, and as long as you're not dicking around in the early areas you generally won't hear the early game battle theme again.

Now, the music can't exactly be compared to Toby's, but at least the composer had the balls to take the latter half of the story seriously.
The first time I heard this theme was when I decided to do Leif's sidequest before stepping into Chapter 5. I'm not sure if this was ever an intentional design choice, but hearing the battle music become more gritty when you start fighting the zombie enemies who have been experimented and probably tortured upon made it extremely memorable.

Blue: "A dancer who believes love to be integral to life."
This is where it gets unclear if the writers were intentionally following the pattern. His Check description is rather neutral and it's not using "integral" in exactly the same sense as the virtue of "integrity". But if we examine his behavior, it does kind of fit. He lectures others about having integrity at points, but he himself does things like ask for forgiveness instead of permission in taking Yellow's flowers and kind of brushes aside the trial thing that got other characters arrested once it turns on him, and he plays dumb and refuses to act in good faith was Green asks for her $5 back.

Green: "A chef whose kindness precedes. Seemingly no interest in speaking."
This is definitely one where they didn't bother to follow the pattern. Green is just taken as kind by everyone and there's nothing to really dispute or give nuance to that.
I do believe Blue and Green definetly follows the pattern of "flawed" virtues, they're just more subtle about it: You can see Blue stealing things from both Yellow and Orange, and also avoiding giving Green what he owes them. Meanwhile Green tends to hold grudges against their flower peers for not paying her, which sounds reasonable, until you realize that she abruptly brings this up constantly because they owe her a measly $2, and that's incredibly petty. "Forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors" and all that.

Like yeah they're plant-themed, but what objects are they supposed to be? Where in Flower King is there an object that could be turned into a scarecrow?
Shi could be a scarecrow doll in one of the drawers in the Flower Kingdom and Netskie looks like some purple sprout in the shape of a nine tailed fox.

A pinecone.
Remember when you coo and giggle at the Kawkaw doing its le wholesome epic "Nyon!"

oh my lord how dare the game that almost always uses voice clips from it's creator has a character that uses voice clips from it's creator my adulthood is ruined now fuck me i'm gonna kill myself

They're likely plastic than anything.

Frankly I think some of these questions (rhetorical or not) sound dumb when said out loud, even if they're just discussion gunpowder.

Toby definitely had fun making voices in this chapter for sure...also back on Pink: hate how its just basically the game saying "fuck you for expecting something important, here's fucking mad mew mew but with hatsune miku voices." I guess it had to be something as well cause that's how you get the flower items, which are...actually kinda cool and have stuff that should've been present earlier in Deltarune if it were a good game (like healing without items, that'd be real nice)
