Undertale / Deltarune / Toby Fox Discussion

Hold up...
It's established at this point that opening a dark fountain within the dark world creates a titan (Chapters 2 & 4)... so how did the Knight open a fountain at the end of Chapter 5 without doing that? We've seen that both of the entrances of Flower King lead to its dark world, and there wasn't a golden door separating the two fountains, so it can't be a situation like the church where the fountains were in separate rooms. The Knight opening a fountain at the exact moment the other one was closed would just be dumb. Is it possible that this scene that was already pretty dumb had to break the rules established a single chapter ago to happen?

I told ChatGPT and Gemini to summarize the transcript and ended up with this. I haven't played Deltarune yet so I can't speak on its accuracy but it reads like occultslop, albeit well-researched and formulated.
LLMs just output an explanation built on pattern matching philosophy and scraping from wiki/reddit/etc. Altho deconstruction of themes are played out in DR, just like UT, isnt really that deep. Toby isnt some scholar, he just intuitively replicates Itoi style of writing but conveying his pop culture background and sociopolitical biases.

I think you can get away with opening one fountain or two at once. More than that and you risk spawning a Titan. Then again, it's clear Chapter 5 was mostly to insult the average white male fan.

Well the Knight used like 5 or 6 swords to summon the titan, and that Fountain was huge compared to the usual Dark Fountain. It was also like the fourth fountain opened inside the church that chapter, versus it only being the second fountain in Flower King in Chapter 5. I think it's more to do with the volume of darkness released, rather than "dark fountain in dark world = titans."

And the exactly one black male fan. I reckon by 2030 they'll start distributing Deltarune like crack in black neighbourhoods. Instead of shooting up O block they'll be cutting off their cocks to be more like Ralsei, which is arguaby worse

Anyway I watched this video and it was pretty good imo
Anyone else seen it?

LLMs are a fantastic tool for someone already proficient though. Finding alternative explanations, add and remove things to see how it changes the tone, use it to rewrite things, let your imagination run wild for new insights and so on. Even when working on the more professional writing projects, I keep using the brobot to bounce ideas off all the time, its just a fun tool.

Never mistake the absolute delineation between tool and user or mistake word salad for profoundness though. (You) the human have power only to interpret anything and create meaning.
