The secret boss was underwhelming. It has to be the least interesting one yet. Even a personification of Asgore's schizo notes would have been a better encounter. Make it a spider and you can keep a lot of the bullet patterns. Have its design be a faux rose so it's a "false/dark/shattered rose". Anything would have been more interesting than Anime the second, who told us nothing about what comes next.

Maybe the "Black Knife" the Knight has is the twisted sword, or "twisting" is an innate attribute of darkness.

This is possible, but there might be something we can learn in the Weird Route that can help unlock a different ending.

The best ending will probably be unlocked by aborting Snowgrave and getting the twisted sword, while side B will be the "taking it too far" scenario.

She still ends up going with Susie to the festival in the weird route before you wake up so I'm now convinced the relationship is Toby's fetish or part of the prophecy (Toby's fetish).

I just realized that "FLOWER MAN TRAPPED IN ASYLUM" probably doesn't actually mean the events of Chapter 5 at all. It's probably referring to where Asgore got taken by the Knight.
Which is most likely the Shelter.
It's possible that the Shelter is actually being used to keep hometowners who've lost their minds locked away.
Shelter is also a direct synonym of "Asylum" too, by the way.

I had another idea for what the final fight might be.

The main party is a human, a monster, and a prince from the dark.

We have two major monster characters (Noelle and Susie), and two dark prince characters (Ralsei and Lancer).

If we're skipping Kris and Noelle ahead to the final dark world in the Weird Route, I think it could result in a Normal Route party of Susie, Lancer and the Vessel fighting against a Weird Route party of Kris, Noelle and Ralsei (maybe switch Lancer and Ralsei, idk). The route only dictates which side of the fight the player is on.

Finished Ch. 5 recently. Still haven't started a "Weird Route" run. The chapter is better than initial critics on SM made it out to be, but the game runs out of chapters to explain all the stuff it set up so far, and will probably go for a rather unsatisfying ending if you wanna have answers for everything.

With Toby being aware of hackers and dataminers, his profound inspiration by the mother series, and all the themes of 4th wall breaking and narrative meta-hacking, I wouldn't be surprised if the game ends with an additional chapter 8 that contains the consequences of you boundary breaking the game in the weird route and save-state editing items from late-game chapters into earlier ones that helps you sequence-skipping important events leading to data-corruption ultimately altering the code-determined fate of the games ending when it tries to load corrupted data into the stats of the Bossfight with the Angel that conveniently rewrites a happy ending for everyone by pure chance ... or some shit like that.

I don't think it was mentioned here before, but I think its interesting that when you defeat the Knight they drop a shadow crystal.
Which Seam says they contain the power of failed dreams.

I wonder if the Knights armor and weapon are made of the stuff, and what that means.
Where'd the Knight get that amount of the stuff? If it's Dess, is she coating herself with it? Same goes for Rudy, if it's him?

Also, I think that if Flowery is based on Rudy, his poses point to Rudy being the knight. I think they share most of their poses.
I really need to compare the sprites, and how many of them line up.

If monsters just dissolve into dust upon death, how could the Gaster Bird make takoyaki out of Onion-san? I suppose if you were to collect all the dust, you could treat it as if it were flour or something, but I doubt it would taste very meaty.

This brings another question though, can monsters be amputated? If they lack a circulatory system, are there no consequences of losing a limb (other than being disabled)? And do the limbs just dissolve into dust as well? What about regenerating tissue like hair, nails and antlers then?

Honestly, hard to say at this point. It could be that we were wrong and monsters dont turn to dust, and they cremate their dead?
That or it just takes longer, like a corpse decomposing.
I don't think we have enough info to solve this puzzle.
