It was a cool scene but I thought it came totally out of nowhere. Though the Chapter 4 scene was fairly sinister and people had been speculating for a while that the Weird Route would end in Kriselle murder-suicide, it seemed more like things were going to gradually get worse from there. Instead, we got the call from Carol saying Noelle is excited to see us, then the next day it instantly escalated into two dead teenagers. It's a gnarly scene that would have felt less unearned and more impactful if it were in Chapter 6.
I'm just wondering how long chapter 6 is even going to take, because there was no date tease at the end this time. Chapter 3 + 4 came out on June 5th of last year and 5 still feels like it was meant to be released alongside them with how barebones and filler-esque it was.
It could legit be another year and a half to two years before we get any kind of follow up to this, and that's going to be unbearable.

When you only have 7 chapters to work with, making two of them meaningless filler is a risky move. I worry that chapters six and seven are going to be incredibly exposition dense.
Well, completed the Chapter, took me several hours today, but I'm done with that slog. I won't replay it for sure, screw that noise. Most things have already been said. I will add that Kris seemingly starts the chapter VERY weak, he passes out during that "date"... And none of the two lesbians give a damn. If you knew the ARG stuff you would know that this seemingly happens from time to time and people know Kriss sometimes passes out. If you don't, you'll assume the two hoes deliberately let Kriss pass out and don't even care. Then the literal gaynigger faggot who's insufferable. And gay Woodie because fuck you, ugh...
And then the ultra-mega-moe gay Mew Mew, with an absurdly long battle that you must restart from the start if you fail which was grating. Oh, and the reward you can't even get if you don't have spare Pink Coins which felt like a kick to the balls. Children playing this will get weird.
The end boss was a bit too long and I was exhausted with the chapter by then. Then Noelle stabs poor Kriss once again and ignores the whole theme about "escapism is bad" because apparently escapism is okay when a lesbo does it because the real world is hard, derp.

If Rasi is somehow Flowey, either Kriss is carrying a flower everywhere, or he cheats because god mode powers or something. Chances are that there will be a lore-dump during Chapter 6-7 because I don't see any other way to make it work by now, and it was used in UT already.

It goes from 0 to 100 with no subtlety. I like how the game still tries to force the gay relationship, but things have been broken and aren't flowing the way they're supposed to be so the relationship doesn't progress. Then Noelle goes ballistic and you can't back away, and if you use headphones you'll have your ears raped.

Agreed. Alas, The Message is not meant to be subtle but override all else that the story had going for to stomp you with it, and it's no different here.
Maybe Kris snaps and agrees to provoke the Roaring/fails and it happens anyway and the town ends up covered by a mega Dark World that traps everyone, Evangelion's Instrumentality/Mother 3's ending style, as IMO Chapter 7 will likely have you playing with the Vessel after losing contact with Kriss, hence why the Weird Route skips to the "Chapter 7's B-side".

I thought it was a way to cover his ass so he could use Undertale characters and references to maintain audience attention. While I don't know if I still think that, I do think this chapter hints to me that he is willing to change shit around to capitulate to his rabid fans, something I consistently feared. Not just in regards to suselle shit, the sole fact a lot of what was hinted at was seemingly overshadowed by the homogay wacky silly stuff. We have been hearing for how long about the festival and we barely got to do anything with it. The more I think on it the more this chapter feels like it was rewritten to interject bullshit.

The 8th one interests me, since she seemingly comes upon some kind of light, deep in the water. You can see the contrast, the sunlight disappears and then some kind of light from below appears? I don't remember seeing the 9th so I'm not sure if it was even used.
