It doesn't help that this chapter's dialogue is just so blunt, repetitive, expository, repetitive, unfunny, repetitive... Toby's overcorrected from "I'm not touching you" to "We need to go over this over and over again." Flowery had the world's longest yap session before he finally died.

I'm probably gonna put off playing the chapter for a while. Putting all the shipping faggotry aside, I'm most disappointed by it sounding like this chapter still doesn't really have any payoff for any of the plot threads. I was actually have a discussion yesterday where I theorized that Western writers and stories recently are having a huge problem with being good at build-up but shit at payoff because fans are more addicted to the hype and anticipation of what could happen later over the satisfaction of an actual conclusion. It's starting to look like Toby may be falling into the pattern, perhaps because he's not confident enough in the payoff he has planned so he keeps delaying it as much as he can. If he always planned for the biggest high of Chapter 3~5 to be the Titan encounter in Chapter 4, then he should have stuck to his original plan of releasing all three chapters at once, since releasing 3 & 4 naturally puts people in the position of expecting further escalation in Chapter 5 instead of more build-up for Chapter 6 or 7.

I'm seriously dreading the upcoming chapters, there's no way Toby can unfuck the story with so little time, and if the writing continues to be this poor then the resolution will be God awful.

I hate how intentionally vague a lot of the story elements of the game are because of its drip fed content. We don't get to know what the final prophecy is or what the incident that ended in asgore losing his job was because the dialogue is either obnoxiously vague or hidden under so many layers of ARG/Fandom nonsense it's almost impossible for anyone who's not a terminally online troon to understand

It's also worth mentioning on a separate note hatsune miku vocals are featured in n the secret boss theme because Toby is a faggot who is obsessed with dykes and troons

Unless this is building up to Kris crashing the fuck out and getting super jealous Toby has genuinely made the main character a cuck. Susie talks about Noelle non-stop the entire chapter, even to the detriment of her scenes with Kris. What the fuck is this shit?

Even if the theories about Kris having feelings for Susie aren't true and it's purely platonic this is atrocious. It's the same as your friend gettng a girlfriend and then immediately revolving his entire existence around her to the point you can;t even have a discussion with him without him bringing her up or do fun stuff without him bringing her along.

That kind of shit kills friendships. Toby what are you doing?

I have no idea the fuck happened with the weird route. First I went through with it all the way and got the "Insert chapter 7 side b" ending, then I tried it again and just stopped saying "proceed" before Noelle and Kris got too far into the lake, and... Noelle changes her mind and the rest of the chapter happens? I can't tell if doing this just fully aborts weird route or if there's still some sort of difference between this and normal route.
