Someone did a full playthrough a few days after 3-4 came out and posted screens. It's okay in some bits (castle town) horrible in others (most of chapter 3 outside the zelda clone). The bright color palettes bleed horribly into eachother.

I mean, we also do know how Taro looks like, and although it isn't as well known as Toby's face, he still does it since it's part of his whole auteur persona which he has used as marketing for his projects, and that's probably the same reason why Toby also stopped showing his face.
Honestly, if this ends up being the weirdest thing about Toby, I'll be content given the more degenerate members of the fanbase.
Toby is 34 so he's getting pretty old, this is the last picture of him from around 2019, before he started hiding behind the dog.
This made me realize whenever Toby dies people are going to make "Toby was Sans all along" jokes.
Paranoia about AI model nonsense in conjunction with an insane fanbase would be my bet. It'd explain the text-to-speech if nothing else, TTS cloners can run well off 30 seconds of audio. Does he have a distinctive voice? I don't think I've heard it although I've seen the pictures of him from the Homestuck era.
