The spergout is completely understandable. Undertale/Deltarune is a fucking meme virus everywhere on the Internet that's just as bad if not worse than its predecessor homestuck.

I get where this mentality comes from but at the same time, the industry has become so fucking garbage that I can't help but find it endearing.

I can't name a videogame in the last 10-15 years that got me so interested in it.

Not even that appealing looking furries, like the leftovers on a bootleg toy shelf furries. I've seen other designs from the game that are appealing, but no, everyone wants to fuck a TV Head or just draw the female barney the big purple dinosaur or any of the more half baked autism over and over. I'm sick of it. And then you faggots advertise here because your fandom doesn't have enough memes on your other social media? The only types of accounts that don't show me underdelta are the boomers and normies who post once every 20 years because they too were drowned out by the flood of talerune. I've seen some of the story and I just don't get thr fucking appeal. Started looking through the ARG again using the lens that Spamton is a Gaster Glowy who ended up losing his contact after fulfilling his purpose.
It all comes back to my nigga Spamtong

I barely ever receive fan mail (no pressure guys XD), but just in case I ever get an email from anyone out there, I have this habit of always reading my spam mail, just in case it's someone real.


Mostly it's just weird stuff like "hochi mamas can get big too" (promise I wasn't looking at any weird sites guys... mmkay? XD)

Spamton saying that Noelle could be a Big Shot too I guess.

But one day, one of the spams I got was nothing but random letters and numbers.


I figured it was probably a failed attempt at sending me a virus, but I thought... what if I tried putting it into Cat Petterz 2 as a mod?


So I did. And weirdly enough, it actually managed to load.

Noelle is fucking unhinged. Who the fuck gets a random nonsense spew of characters in an email and goes "I'll use this as a game mod!"
The file in question turned out to be Spamton sending Noelle a pipis as thanks for always reading his spam, and then it endlessly duplicated and fucked up her save file. Who the fuck does that?
Either way, Spamton is a potential ex-glowy who's had contact with Noelle for a long time.

I remember wondering about that specific character doll in Seam's shop years ago. I've not done that much research into every aspect of the game. I don't really think that Toby is the sort of guy to write a story that requires shit like proper philosophical deep dives and historical/folkloric research really. It's clear that most of Toby's ideas are derivative of other videogames he played as a kid, so I don't really think there's any real religious meaning behind it all? There could be something, but IDK I just don't see it? I mean there's maybe something there considering Asriel's final form in Undertale being an Angel and Azrael being the Angel of Death in Islam.
Though it's more likely to just be Toby playing his anagram games again.

I guess you could say it's something like that. I do normally try not to overthink things because most of the time a modern story isn't really worth the effort to think about the plot too deeply. I'm only giving Toby the benefit of the doubt because he can actually build a decent mystery. Though the big thing is that we don't really know how Toby is when it comes to opening that Mystery Box and clearing up the final secret, though his past experience at doing so with Undertale when the full story of the first human was revealed was through random fucking tapes that had just been left laying around in the True Lab for some reason. Like, why the fuck were they there?

I can't name a videogame in the last 10-15 years that got me so interested in it.

Possibly because I can't name a video game from the last 10-15 years that wasn't irony poisoned, meta-self-aware-turns-at-the-camera redditslop, making fun of itself and you for taking it seriously(ughhh, nerd), while pushing The Message about diversity, womyn in power and heckin transfolx. Deltarune just genuinely means all the shit it those, zero heckin subverted expectations or making fun of the audience for getting invested in the story and liking the characters. Sure, its no generational epic, but it has the balls to stand on its own as an authors vision. Sure, it might be a strange vision with questionable choices, but atleast there is an artistic spark to it, its trying to tell a story, rather than pushing numbers based on a californian neon hair focus group. This kind of honesty about what it is and what it wants to be immediately places it above all the slop.

I wanted to think about why Krusie has been feeling like a better ship instead of Suselle. I'll admit that in the earlier days I used to like Suselle, and while I don't really have too much grievance with people in gay relationships, I also recognize that too many act like faggots over it and I'm very sure it's just a fetish. I think it's really because it's felt more "organic", so to speak, where in real time as we play the game we see the relationship develop. Noelle is only a party member in Chapter 2 as of now, while Susie has always been with us since the very start of the game.
Being vulnerable with a person demonstrates an immense level of trust that you see in really good relationships, both in friendships and romance. We've seen Susie open up to Kris and Ralsei about her own past, and AFAIK I don't think she's ever told or been open to Noelle about it. The way she talked about wanting to play the piano but being discouraged, she confides in Kris about this, but Noelle? Not yet. It felt a lot more personal in a way.

Shockingly Suselle simply being gay isn't my actual issue with it. I just like well written relationships that don't feel like they were written cranked out on AO3, and Krusie is the single most well developed relationship in the game.

Kris and Susie's relationship is, quite literally, the heart of this games story. The actual main plot is kinda shallow but the character work between the protagonist and deuteragonist is very well made, and the romantic aspect only added to it. It makes you want to root for the two of them to get together because they're already soulmates.
