Barry (HBO) was the only finale I hated when it I watched it a few hours after it aired live.

The season felt rushed in general and had moments of downright awful writing.
Plotlines either went nowhere, were breezed over too quickly and character arcs happening off screen.

There were some good moments like the prison shootout but overall the ending was just really bad. With the cherry on top being that people praising it on sites like Reddit.

I just really didn't like it. That all.

The whole last season of OZ blew ass. All the interesting characters were dead or sidelined in favour of a gay romance that went nowhere. I like Christopher Meloni but his presence in OZ marks when the show really turned bad IMO.

I wish J.K. Simmons was in more things.

LOST had the worst finale of any show I've ever seen. Granted, that's not an unpopular opinion, but fuck that show.

Its only redeeming quality was to warn me away from anything made by its creative team in the future, and from what I can tell, everything Jar Jar Abrams and that faggot hack Damon Lindelof made in the following years was abjectly terrible.

Underhated? The ATLA finale, the entire series was building up to how reality can clash with ideals and Aang would have to use violence to end it, and it gets handwaved by magic turtle ex machina at the end and ruins the payoff.

My Name is Earl ended with the most batshit final episode about secret agents and all kinds of weird shit, and I think they just knew they were cancelled so they made a retarded cliff hanger thing for the last episode lmao

The ending of Better Call Saul was bad, I feel like I must have seen a different episode with how much people were praising it.
Yea I loved the series, and in a sense, I can see what they were going for at the end, but Jimmy spent 6 seasons conning everybody, so to then just turn around and take an 86 year sentence because of "guilt" just doesn't make sense.

I'm sorry, but at no point would anybody do that, let alone Jimmy. I don't think that the moral thing to do in that situation is to say "Yes actually, I do think I should spend the rest of my life in a federal prison". Maybe it's the right thing to happen to him from an external point of view, but as the individual it makes absolutely no sense to repent through serving the rest of your life in jail versus repenting through something like charity or the sort.

The most underhated finale is the one for Big Mouth because it hasn't happened yet. Seriously Netflix is retarded beyond all measure, that pedo-infested shit show will be there till the platform dies but we will never see Mindhunter season 3.

Anyone else have the conspiracy theory I do where endings suck now because they want to prevent people from re-watching and encourage them to move on to New Thing?

It wouldn't surprise me. Big media HATES competing with itself. I fear for a digital and esp streaming only future. Gaming in particular. It already has a built in group of utter normie retards who won't touch anything over a few years old just because. It's a big part of why digital/streaming is considered the end of gaming history.

Mindhunter was pure cinema. However, wasn’t it more so Fincher having other projects he wanted to work on, as opposed to Netflix not green lighting it?

I thought the Sopranos ending was really stupid. OZ ending was very bad too, but the series was already in ridiculous territory by the 4th season.

Speaking of OZ, they recently made a mini episode with Tobias and O'Reily years later and Fontana hinted in making a spin off series if people enjoy it. Kinda curious to see what might happen. Both actors still nail the roles.

Carnivale got fucking shafted. The fact that they were able to craft any kind of ending whatsoever was an achievement. But it still sucked relative to what should have been. I don't know if the actual ending should be hated more, but the situation certainly should.

Perpetual Grace, LTD is criminally underseen, but it didn't even get an ending, they just stopped.

Outer Range's second season is one that fits. Hey we have an interesting show with good actors and production values. Let's fire all the creators and let 4 retarded women write the rest of it. Utter shit.

Yes, we got that fucking classic "Mank" instead of Season 3.

However, I've recently rewatched it, and I'm glad it didn't continue. All the fucking woke shit in S2 is annoying as shit, and it was obvious they were going to continue down that path. It was just about insufferable sitting through it without the element of surprise of the first viewing.

The show "Evil" had a notoriously bad ending, even compared to how unhinged and bad the writing became in the last couple of seasons.

It ended with the main woman's husband deserting the family (entirely out of character mind you) leaving her a single mother for 4. This is apparently not a big deal because even though it was shown he loved his kids and they loved him, they just get over their dad walking out on them immediately. From there the nigger activist priest gets an offer to go work at the Vatican, asks the woman to move there and work with him, she agrees and uproots her children's lives so she can continue working for the catholic church, the kicker being that through the entire show she is an ex-catholic shitlib who doesn't believe in any of the shit they are doing whatsoever, even though in the story there has basically been objective proof that demons exist in their world, and that they are specifically fighting against them.

Side note, to show just how fucking retarded and pozzed the shows writing is, a random woman shows up and claims to be the main woman's daughter from the future, rattles off a bunch of things she knows about the family and say's what they are doing in the future. Daughter 1 is doing this, daughter 2 is doing that, daughter 3 and her WIFE are super rich geniuses, and daughter 4 is her. This is meant to be somewhat believable until it turns out that the woman is not actually the future version of the daughter, but instead is a drug addict who was fucking the main woman's husband in a rehab facility they were both attending, and that she had escaped to go and convince the main woman to leave her husband and go fuck the black priest. If that sounds insanely retarded and makes no sense, you'd be correct.

The craziest part about that plot line to me though was that this random woman claims to be from the future, and in trying to prove she's actually from the future just says one of the daughters ends up gay, but since she isn't from the future the audience is supposed to believe that during this crazy interaction it would realistic to say someone's like 12 y/o daughter is gunna grow up to be a lesbian lmfao.
