UK UK Government to cull "diversity roles"

Esther McVey, the “minister for common sense”, has said she will crack down on diversity initiatives in the civil service, including banning the wearing of rainbow lanyards.

McVey, who was appointed to Rishi Sunak’s cabinet as a minister without portfolio, said civil servants should be leaving their political views “at the building entrance” and that there should not be a “random pick and mix” of causes on security lanyards.

“They should be a standard design reflecting that we are all members of the government delivering for the citizens of the UK,” she said in a speech to the Centre for Policy Studies. “We need to stop the inappropriate back-door politicisation of the civil service, which diverts time and resources from that focus on the public.

“We have too often seen them distracted by fashionable hobbyhorses. Especially when it comes to issues like equality and diversity. People want the public servants to be getting on with the job of making their lives better, not engaging in endless internal discussions about ideology, and I’m not prepared to see pointless job creation schemes for the politically correct.”

McVey said the government would no longer offer contracts for external diversity spending unless they were signed off by a government minister, including those with current contracts, such as Stonewall.

The minister said she aimed to abolish civil service networks for staff, such as those for Muslim staff or LGBTQ+ civil servants. The Civil Service Muslim Network has been suspended after reports that speakers at its events had encouraged officials to lobby ministers over the Gaza conflict.

I just hope Keir Starmer is as based as the left are painting him to be (they all seem to hate him) or at the very least he's not as much of a limp dick as Corbyn was.

Also worth remembering that he was director of public prosecutions at the CPS when it was declining to properly prosecute asian paedophile gangs, where he allegedly (though he claims otherwise) told the police not to prosecute them because of racism. He may have acted to protect jimmy saville in that role, but certainly made no effort to pursue his prosecution. He is a weak and inconsistent man, who in office will dither and vacillate, and allow his ministers to implement retarded ideas while the country falls apart around him, and will only make things even worse for the common man.

I mean, nothing is impossible, especially in Clown World. But the odds are against it.

It'd require the Brits to get their immigrants under control (Either deport them or get them to assimilate properly) AND start breeding like rabbits to male up for their dwindling population.

This uncritical belief that population must always go up or should remain high is why we have so much immigration to begin with. The British isles are massively overpopulated and have been since around the first half of the 20th century, when the population grew past the carrying capacity of the total farmed land. The British population actually peaked in the 70s and began to decline somewhat, a trend that would have continued well into the early 21st century if not for loosening of immigration controls, in order to maintain the prior population growth. It had become dogma, during the first half of the century and especially during the post-war economic boom, that a healthy economy grows at a constant rate, which required a perpetually growing consumer base to maintain that perpetual economic growth. When the population growth began to slow, immigration was chosen as the means to increase the consumer base.

Perpetual population growth is impossible in an enclosed system. Populations naturally reach a maximum capacity and decline again, in a cycle of growth and contraction that swings either side of an "ideal" population size, whatever size that might be. Any population that doesn't reach this equilibrium ends up destroying itself. This is almost a law of nature. Any attempt to meddle with it, by sustaining a high population against the prevailing conditions that precipitate the decline, only creates the conditions for an unsustainable crash at a later point. The longer you try to stave off that crash, whether by immigration, inducements to breed, or whatever else the worse it will get.

Booting out immigrants and non-natives would be good, because there are too many people here and there is no reason to take in outsiders when we can't even properly provide for our own. Trying to replace them with native babies would only create the same problems within a generation. We should instead allow the native population to decline naturally. It will grow again later, given time.
