Yeah, a lot of the things Jace said on that stream came off as the usual hyperbole/grandiosity you'd expect from a narcissist who literally thinks his life is a videogame... But his talk about Tyce being a "victim of circumstance" was spot on. I can only imagine that there's some alternate-reality version of Tyce who still wears bolo ties and does great in school and has a really sane overachieving rich boy life... or a bizzaro version of Jace who actually followed Rob's advice, persevered through school, got a better job and actually wrote and published an acceptable-quality trashy airport novel.

We all love to point and laugh, and sneer snd think "how does someone end up like that?" But if there's one thing I took away from Jace's complete story is that a lot of it was just shitty luck. The invidiual pieces of the story are nothing short of hilarious, but the entire story taken together is really more akin to a Greek tragedy.

The scary thing about this whole insane story is not that Tyce ended up that way, it's that given the correct set of extreme circumstances, that could happen to any of us. I never thought a lolcow could make me experience existential terror, but here we are.

At any moment in time, we are all one freak accident away from spending our lives huffing shit and street racing mice to the grave.

Regardless of whether or not he's been molded by Jace, Tyce is still entirely responsible for his actions and should be held accountable for them. Every lolcow's got a sad past, the difference between them and functioning members of society who have suffered similar traumas are the ways they handle those pasts and cope.

That's not to say Jace and Tyce aren't in need of intense outside help - they are. They both need rehab, therapy, and god knows what else if they want any chance at returning to functionality. But that doesn't excuse the terrible shit they do in the meantime.

Put into perspective for a minute, Tyce was probably a kid with little to no friends and he already had a rocky life. Jace comes in and fills whatever emptiness he has with drugs, alcohol and stupidity. If you fast forward to when Tyce's brother died, Jace never mentioned offering him any kind of help or advice, which means he most likely just told Tyce to play more video games, drink, smoke weed, etc. Honestly without Jace, and if Tyce's dad put some more effort into parenting him, Tyce could have turned out a decent kid who doesn't street race mice and deal drugs. People around you mold you and help you determine your morals, and they're an even bigger impact if you've had a life like Tyce did.

Jace had/has a lot of friends, most of them were likely somewhat sheltered nerdy kids. Tyce is a special case among them. Most deagle nationers are lazy weed smoking teens who don't do much thinking, say stupid stoner shit, and like FPS and airsoft. Tyce is another story altogether. Tyce shows symptoms of psychopathy, violent tendencies that far outclass those of even Jace, and a tendency towards bizarre acts of cruelty.

While I tend to side heavily on the nurture side of nature vs. nurture, I think Tyce has legitimate mental issues that existed before Tyce entered Jace's sphere of influence. Jace influenced him, no doubt, but there was something there before all this started that led him to become what he did.

Also, let's not forget that we've gotten all this information from Jace, who's not exactly a 100% reliable narrator. Let's not take everything he said as fact immediately.
 
The thing I am on the fence about is Tycedad. He seems like a hardass, and having tough love never really clicks to people who have a world view that focuses primarily on themselves. I still really dont know what the money to tyce is about (isnt it 400 bucks?) although if I had to make a compleatly uneducated guess, its a bribe to say "Look ya spastic, if ya don' get in any trouble 'ere, I'll fuggin pay ya. That or its off to millitary school, ya spastic"
 
I don't know about you guys but Tyce's dad sort of gives off a slimy ambulance chaser sort of vibe who is willing to use any loophole in the book, kind of helped with the fact he hasn't seem to have done anything to stop his son's downward spiral, only doing something when he has to bail Tyce out from the law. Of course we have take every thing that comes out of Jace's mouth with a grain of salt, so this is just conjecture.

There's no way he was JUST a nerdy kid. With a wop dad who says things like "I DIDN'T RAISE NO FUCKIN' FAGGOT" and the classic "EY GO FUCK YASELF YA FUCKIN' SPASTIC," plus the fact that his dad was a criminal defense attorney(most of these are not very scrupulous people), AND the fact that his mom had a drug problem even before the Cop Car Incident, he probably wasn't that chill.
 
If Tyce hadn't rolled with Deagle Nation, he would have used his dad's money to get into some shitty New England safety school and became a date raping frat tool.
 
I seriously doubt Tyce would be much better of a person without Jace's involvement. He might have taken a different form, but I doubt he'd be a decent person. Not only are there strong signs he's a psychopath, but his dad sounds like a shitty parent. Even with Jace's distorted storytelling, there's no justification for "I didn't raise no fucking faggot!" and locking them both in the room. Jace may not be the most reliable storyteller, but he tends to base his stuff in some small kernel of truth, which he embellishes and twists into something he thinks makes him look good or right. I can't see him making up the being locked in Tyce's room story out of thin air.
 
In case anybody needs to honor our #selkintongamry there's a bunch of can coozies at Walmart for Halloween for a buck a pop with bloody #slketons on them in a very respectful manner.
 
From recent revelations, I would like to say that with Tyce, coming from a broken home, its clear that he was looking for a 'role model' to fit the parental gap (much like how Jace has a 'role model' of JOHN CENA) and found it with Jace. I doupt his life would be improved at all without Jace, as even to this day Tyce has very poor literacy skills. We all seen hiz shitte spelin, but on the vlogtember video where he and Jace went out to get some 'dew it was shown he had trouble reading things. I seriously doupt he was compleatly straight-edged before he met Jace because of this.

I think its too soon to write off Tycedad as a shitty parent, he does just seem to be a toughass. Unfortunately, if your world view centers around yourself, "Tough Love" (augh yeah?) is not really a 'thing' that works. Like at all. (See: Jace listens to Rob, does not listen to Bitch Mom with Smelly Cunt)

While I want to condemn him for having a lock outside Tyce's door, I can't really blame him. I hope he at least throws some of his lawyer money at getting the carpet in there replaced often, or that he gets a bathroom put in so there's somewhere to poop.

Either way, I can imagine in the past that Tyce has had quite a few groundings. So no, I still dont think Jace ruined Tyces chances at success... Tyce already did it for him!

All I know is that in the recent season finale Jace mentioned the time they were collapsing in each others arms in a tactical and totally not-gay manner that DagoDad walked in on them and then was AYY I DINNT RAISE NO FUKKIN FAGGUTS or whatever and locked them in and Tyce pissed in the corner.

Yeah. He mentioned that Tycedad locked the two faggots in the room for two hours. Stupid logic IMO... Hates gay sex but closes the door and locks it from the outside so the two can have some privacy :tomgirl:
