Oh Chris. Richmond hasn't even seen a drop of rain yet, but by all means beg for funds for the "storm of the century".

It is, but Florence is moving very slowly and will just be a rain storm with 30-40 mph winds by the time it gets there. Might be some local flooding but nothing super major otherwise

The most that would happen is the Chandlers losing power.
Of course that is quite dire for Chris and Barb. Chris could no longer be pacified by cartoons and ponies, there's no way they are properly equipped with flashlights, and if they try to use candles it will be the K-Cup machine incident all over again. To say nothing of what might happen if Chris farts near a candle.

Chris is a grown-ass adult, not a dependant. Barb doesn't have custody over him because he hasn't had his agency as an adult stripped from him by the government or a court of law. Their relationship would legally be closer to renter/landlord, and since Barb is the owner of the house she can require that Chris pays "rent", i.e.: helps out with the household expenses.

Who is dependent on who? He is sane enough for the state to allow him to drive, Barb on the other hand is getting older, crazier and more decrepit as the grim reaper gets ever closer. Chris allowing Barb to rape his bank account is like letting your pet dog eat off your plate before you do.

I think even in Bob's obituary they asked for money in lieu of flowers even though Bob had taken care of his expenses, left them a paid off house, and probably some money to have for emergency. I imagine they went out to Red Lobster/Olive Garden/steakhouses every night for a month after he died.

I'm genuinely confused about how people think none of barb's personality problems would manifest in Chris. He lacks insight as part of his autism so he doesn't have a chance to become much different than his parents.

Absolutely. I think the moment people started actually buying his crap for "a piece of Christory", the irreversible damage was done.
I'm referring to 2014. Where water and fire damage destroyed their home.
