Words can't describe just how much I hate those people with their boneheaded priorities

But it's true if you know anything about his work.

Ende was not an apolitical writer. The messages in his books are extremely obvious if you actually read them. And indeed they are right - the German critics during his lifetime thought that he was writing escapist novels, and he hated that. His novels aren't escapist except in the most basic sense of the word.

"I think I might have an additional email, but I don't want to use it anymore because it's connected to my email and Dad gets all my emails." So they don't understand that they can just make a bullshit gmail account for a new site account but then say "back when I was 14" in a later comment. Is this really the level of technical competence in high schoolers today?
You're taking about an autist. The concept of finding a new way of getting shit done without getting caught doesn't exists within their minds.

Every FUCKING TIME

I cannot think of any major incident where police shot an innocent child for standing still. The only example they have is the Tamir Rice Incident, where a tall 12-year old was terrorizing parkgoers with an air pistol before pointing it at the police when they arrived to investigate the report of an armed teen threatening people at a park.

And imagine thinking of that while watching a FANTASY ANIME.

Most writers who grew up during the war in Europe were influenced by the war in some way and it can be seen in their writings in later years. Most fantasy novels written by authors who were kids during the war are thinly veiled references to the war years. This is confirmed in most cases by writers themselves who said that these novels were a coping mechanism with the experience of the war.

Didn't the author of Full Metal Alchemist say that the Ishbala stuff was inspired by the Iraq war?

I heard it was inspired by either the Japanese Empire's war crimes from WWII, or the colonization of Hokkaido/the issues with the Ainu minorities (Arakawa is from Hokkaido, if my memory serves me right).

I think people just kinda assumed that because it was white people shooting at vaguely middle eastern people in the 2000s. I don't think the author went out and said "Yeah its totally Iraq"
I’ve seen it compared to the Herero Wars considering the nature of Ishval as a desert nation that rebelled against a pseudo-Germany before having their country razed and its people wiped out. I don’t really think it matters, at none of those conflicts had alchemist soldiers being sent in to enact a whole scale genocide.

Seriously, the X Meets Y page I get is mainly just for fun and all that, but someone clearly likes TLOUII a bit too much.

That, and the analysis page they have for it as well.

The world of The Last of Us is a world of violence, it is a realistic simulation scenario of how people eat away each other after our society breaks down.

. . .realistic? How do you even know??? I'd bet real money this author has no knowledge of any instances of actual society collapse.
