This is pretty much why I've stopped using the forums: I have no patience for their pretend politeness. But I'm so blunt and argumentative that I'd get the mods sicced on me in no time.
Oh it's already started. Dearest @NerdShamer has been hard at work compiling archives of the various updates that they're making to try and stop the bleeding but it's clearly not working. TVT is at the DSP point where the only regulars left are jannies, wannabe jannies, RPers, and the autists who apparently don't realize that there are more/better websites out there.

Personally, it's more of an case of "when I actually care to look" scenario and most of the recent ones were kind of retarded. Like sure, banning American politics is objectively an good idea; but they've also killed out the possibility of discussing it on a fictional basis and it has effectively neutered the Legal Eagle thread that I pointed out a few days ago.
The results of this year's updates is mainly just Kory frothing over SEO and the jannies occasionally complaining about cleaning up after the relatively normal part of their userbase for roughly 15 years. Speaking of updates, at least half an year ago, they've eased up on immediately banning people for edit warring. But that flavor of autism has been transferred to banning people over how they vote on the drafts for new votes. And this is almost the same case as some retard on here losing their shit because of the stickers they were getting and successfully convincing Null to ban them over it.
There's also that time when I more or less caused them delete their "bitch about your life" thread when they saw me archiving it. Turns out that an troon was oversharing shit, so it kind of led to a PSA on stop talking about yourselves...Which didn't stick, obviously.
Kory regularly bitches about the page views, but is otherwise ambivalent about stuff like True Capitalist Radio being thrown into the woodchipper.
And as we all know, the site's been hemorrhaging users and the only significant thing that they've did to retain them is create an app for the website. Plus, his team finally had disabled auto-playing videos, earlier this month, which might have been ongoing issue for at least an year?

It never sticks. Troper tales, "Feel sorry for me" threads, people love that shit because they love to feel like the main character for 8 minutes and get tons of pats on the back. The really funny thing is when the mods try to shut it down because it just shows that they are petrified at the idea of people outside the hugbox seeing all the weirdos they let fester.

So, about the app. Apple actually forced Kory to add an block feature on it. But since this is Tv Tropes that we're talking about, this feature is only for the app.
And the turbosperg jannies want an system that'll flag certain users for accumulating an certain number of misconduct notifications. You know, the same type that you get for not crosswicking shit. (Basically opening up a few tabs to rewrite the shit to that you've just written on one page to improve the SEO. Which is something that only an autist would happily do.) Here's someone illustrating one the issues behind this.

Yeah, I used once to see their "real life" section for "stupid jet pack hitler" because I had forgot the name of the shoot and forget american missile they mention, and the process was miserable.
