I love how TVTards get so triggered at any sight of "mean-spiritedness" (what a wonderful, wonderful buzzword, btw), yet when Doug Walker or his crapsack troupe act "mean-spirited" toward something it's suddenly justified and funny.

One of the most humiliating experiences I ever had was at a family gathering where I said something (it wasn't even uttering a trope name) and one of my cousin's girlfriends said I bet you visit TV Tropes.

I nearly ran away in shame.

It's an enterbotism. I didn't really hear that term often until Enter became a thing.

You'd figure they'd at least try to word it differently, or at least justify how it's "mean-spirited". But nah, gotta crib Enter's catchphrase at this point.

She could detect your autism but not the source.

Someone asked me whether I used TV Tropes once years ago, but that was only because I said I used Reddit, which I did in those days.

I never had an account on TV Tropes, but I had occasionally read an article on it. At the time I wasn't aware of the weaponised autism in the forums. I didn't even know there were forums.

Some things man was not meant to know.

i made the mistake of going back into the race/privilege thread on the forum and the latest pages were on if it's morally okay to punch nazis. guess how that conversation went.

I'm guessing they approved of it, but they certainly aren't going to try it themselves.
