I've been on and off of tvtropes for years now, but it still manages to outdo itself every couple months. CrazyGoggs needs to go back to doing his readings of the site.
I've never seen Teen Titans Go, but from what they're describing it sounds like an intentionally wacky comedy cartoon for grade schoolers. And they're taking it so damn seriously, you would think it was supposed to be game of thrones or something. They're literally bitching about sight gags and goofy one off episodes.

Yes, it's an intentionally wacky comedy cartoon for grade schoolers.
It's kinda dumb in many ways and the humor is pretty hit-and-miss, and basically it's not The Brave and the Bold, but I've seen worse. It's good when you're bored and want to waste twenty minutes.

The reason most tropers hate it is because they've got a hard-on for action toons, which the original Teen Titans was. Somehow it is apparently a masterpiece of seriousness in comparison to the outright goofy later show.

Teen Titans (NOT GO!) was animu nonsense that only became serious once they knocked that shit off. Even then, by the time they did, it was too little, too late. It's a fucking overrated show, overall. Like how GO! is overhated.

Which is why I said "apparently"... I can recall the original show wasn't all that serious either, but a few serious episodes turn the show into OOOOH SUCH A HEAVY DRAMA AAAHHHH.
The same with Courage the Cowardly Dog and Hey Arnold.

When you're that old, and editing a site populated by mostly teenagers/people in their early-mid 20s. You've clearly done something wrong. This is also true with FastEddie when he was in charge.

It still exists, but now it's just a general chat thread. No one uses it to get dates anymore. Which is probably a good thing, but all the hilarity I'm gonna miss makes me sad.
