It's also King's absolute worst short story. Basically, it's a have your cake and eat it too story. The 'writer' essentially cruelly un-creates his own son, steals his brother's wife and nephew and makes them his family. I was never a King fan, but this one didn't even pretend to have a horror element or twist or anything.

So TV Tropes threw the baby out with the bathwater regarding the works of Sir Francis E Dec, Esquire, deleting his page under the statement "Entries primarily trope this person's life, not their works", even though his works were autobiographies, and didn't move them to a Web Original, Radio, or Literature page. Probably agenda based considering the existence of this thread.

I see they have the moviebob level of understanding parenthood. "Having sex doesn't make you special!" You'd think even if they were such enlightened thinkers as to believe evolution instead of that religion stuff they would grasp the concept that natural selection will favor parents being HEAVILY invested in their children. (Especially given how helpless humans are their first few years.)

It'll get worse, given how someone is whining about how the political divide is centered around racism. But an important to consider is that some of these are Europeans getting wound up over American politics, for some reason.
Well, they agree that there's an sketchy side to the shipping community, but they blame it upon people rebelling against their fundie parents.
