The irony is that MahouAko is more tame compared to other ecchi manga you could read.
  1. Nipples and vaginas are always completely censored either by speech bubbles or diagetically (positioning of environment and characters).

  2. There isn't a single panel where the 'loli' Nero Alice becomes a fanservice subject of any kind. She's never sexually humiliated or gets aroused. The story treats her as a wholesome innocent girl and draws the line there while other ecchi lewd their loli characters.

  3. MahouAko has a story and cast which it builds upon. The characters have clearly defined personalities and goals, and change throughout the story. The ecchi element exists within that framework; the characters don't defy their characterization for fanservice.
So, if the work page for this one could be cut for very little, then what's next on the chopping block, Negima, and Bakemonogatari? Kill la Kill? Are these moralfagging hypocrites just going to ignore everything else a work has to offer just because it's fanservicey?
Another thing that helps is the characters feel like real people

I've struck troper gold.

Meet Bulmabriefs 144

Seems unassuming and mild by troper standards, right? No grand list of self aggrandizing, edgy, oh-so-quirky tropes applied to themselves, right.

Now see how they're the creator of "The Oracle of Tao"?

I decided to check it out. It's your garden variety shitty RPGmaker game.

Now go to the Crowning Moment of Awesome page for it. Click history.

Guess who but in 90% of the entries?

That's right, the creator of the game.

Bulmabriefs 144.
Met this person before, didn't think I'd find her here. She's the kind of person one might put in the likeable persons thread. The Oracle of Tao also has a genuine book adaptation though, it's not bad by Narnian standards.

They are celebrating the recent news about Vivian in the TTYD remake.

Stuck using phone screen captures for now, but check out what TV Tropes users have to say on this issue.

The "guilt by association" routine is an move that only an sped would wholeheartedly believe in. And I'll bet that they'll start bitching if the devs caves in and do shit to "comply" with the "guns are bad" spiel. Speaking of which, how long have they had that "trans rights" header?

Their new thing is condensing character pages and I can't figure out why. Like who is it bothering that the main character or villain of a work has more tropes than a side character? Genuinely I'm just starting to think the community is actively looking for something to austically clamp down on, no matter how trivial.
