And why is this an issue? She enjoys negative attention, and will never improve as a person or find happiness as long as she seeks it. We provide negative attention, because she's a shitty person who should be laughed at. Far as I can tell, there's nothing at stake on our end. She needs to be denied it if she's going to improve, yes, but I'm uncertain of when lolcow rehab became our responsibility. Bear in mind that regardless of whether or not she enjoys it, it ultimately feeds a self-destructive impulse in her. I'm not sure that qualifies as playing into her hand.
I mean, hell, IDCP loves her victim narrative too, but that's not going to stop my laughing at her.

I think this is something of a central problem with regards to the Tumblr forum in general, and it's partially the fault of the Vade thread setting the tone.

Threads here quickly devolve from laughing at the lolcow to being just another Tumblr-style callout, with Tumblr refugees piling in to attain some sort of justice and seeking to shame the cow in question for being "problematic" when that's really not what this board is about. Despite being told again and again not to powerlevel people can't help but share their life stories on how the cow's behavior somehow devalues their whole lives and how much what the cow does gets to them. If the cow is the one hurting your feelings, something is very, very wrong.

One takes a whole lot more power away from these people when they make fun of their hypocrisy and desperate attempts at damage control than they ever could by moping and crying about how horrible they are. Yes, with Vade the rabbit hole got a lot more dire as more information was found, but at the end of the day, most Tumblr cows are spoiled white girls acting like toddlers, and such is the case here again. No amount of bitching them out on the internet or trying to shame them is going to fix them, so ridicule them accordingly.

This thread certainly has. Some of it is supposedly about the questionable cow somehow betraying people, partly just by having been here and then left, and then a bunch of tumblr shit absolutely nobody without a tumblr account gives two shits about.

Yeah, that's my bad. It wasn't my intention to turn this into a righteous mob thing, more just the treachery involved was just talking shit about the Farms when we'd been nothing but welcoming. Seemed like a dick move. Then Tanku got involved and Tanku is a sore spot for me.

I think I'm going to be more hands off on this thread. Nobody needs to deal with my baggage. It's better to focus on the attention whore who thinks she's Toon Link.

It's cool. It'd hardly a problem limited to just this thread, and things can get awkward because unlike a lot of the other boards, people here tend to be personally involved with these situations so it can be a bit sore to deal with. But coming in, talking shit about cows and then leaving to bitch about us on Tumblr seems to be par for the course with Tumblrites. That's just the kinds of people that congregate on Tumblr, so all one can do at this point is to not get too upset over it. Don't forget that in the greater scope of the internet, the Tumblr community is still an absolute joke.

And it's worth it to not completely ignore her trying to get good with us. Watching the train wreck of her desperately trying to explain why she thought this was an okay thing to do has been pretty great. It's just something to laugh about, not get angry over.

To be fair to you, it is kinda stupid that lolcows and their ilk are demonizing the Farms. It's funny, though, because of how it's basically like some bratty kids whining ineffectually. A lot of this rhetoric barely matters outside of tumblr, I can't make myself care about the opinions of people screeching loudest on both sides.

That said, I found it telling she didn't reblog with her thoughts, but capped it instead to reply. That way, only her echo chambers of asspatters sees the post, and no one will argue.
