Also, this is like Pornhub deciding to ban porn. Does Tumblr really think its some sort of puritanical site for discussion? Some sort of safe app that mommy puts the kids on when she's too busy to take care of them? The only reason people go to that site is for fandom, and a lot of people in fandom go right for the porn. Even putting aside the god awful algorithm that says everything is porn, they'd have more luck in promoting their site by just nuking the entire domain.

I don’t know if it was any better but I wish Livejournal had stayed popular. It seemed like a fun and more streamlined place for fandom content without the questionable content Tumblr provides. At this point I can’t wait for something to replace Tumblr.
