Yeah. Also female-presenting? I get this is tumblr and they can't say only female to the userbase, but an MTF can't breastfeed anything. The only reasons a troon would be taking those pictures are autogynephila-related ones.

IMO they will actually do nothing whatsoever, just like always. But Apple will eventually kick them off again because the CP and other shit will still be there.

I think they don't want to lose the large softcore/pin-up artist community who make up a decent amount of the real people still using the site. By these new rules, they can make the argument that their work is artistic and doesn't depict "sex acts" maintaining a family-friendly image to others-namely the app store and advertisers.

It sounds like it's Tumblr's way of saying that nudity in classical art like famous Renaissance paintings will still be permitted considering they specifically cite statues as an example - no one makes porn out of marble anymore after all - and that soft core & pin up art falling within their new policy is entirely incidental.

Though I still don't know how Tumblr even plans to enforce this to begin with since there's no mention of updating their reporting system. It just seems like it's gonna make it more annoying to for the nsfw & pin-up artists to post while the real shit just learns to be sneakier.

Lmao checking twitter, tumblr has their own shitty algorithm that is flagging everything. I mean everything is getting flagged as explicit, drawings that have no nudity, sex or even a hint of sexuality are being flagged by their automated system.

Holy fucking raviolis. Even the fucking bot that they made to delete porn is broken and buggy as hell. Three months untill their CEOS get their asses kicked by Yahoo and start begging for reblogs on the street.
 
The reblogs on that staff post are nothing but people pointing out how painfully stupid this is and how the artist community on tumblr is going to implode. Tumblr is a shithole yeah, but one of the biggest draws is that they DIDN'T have Draconian rules about adult content. Now a lot of artists are going to have to relocate since the staff sure aren't going to be trusted to use good judgement.
Those examples of automated flagging are a really good demonstration of how tumblr's system works- basically, it doesn't. They're trying to put out a fire by shitting onto it.
