I never really understood the anti loli-artist thing. I mean it's not my thing. But if you kick people off for drawn depictions of minors, then why aren't you kicking off people who post drawn depictions of gore, murder?

I mean, if loli porn is condoning or encouraging pedos, then logically following, drawn gore, rape, and furry porn is condoning and encouraging murder, rape and bestiality. But apparently fictional kids are real, but fictional rape and murder victims and fictional abused animals are not?

The west has a lot of hang ups about sex that has apparently just gotten worse with this generation. To be fair, I've known some pretty fucked up people who were into loli and what not, but there's a definite double standard. It's one of those kinds of things you kind of have to judge the person by on a case by case basis.

And we all know how bad Tumblr is with grey areas.

I'm mostly pissed off by kids spreading blatant information to other kids saying that any art of a minor in a sexual situation is illegal in the US when it's specifically hyper-realistic art and art depicting real life minors that's illegal. I've seen more than one post of ACKCHUALLY LOLICONS LITERALLY BREAK THE US LAW and its exhausting. Please worry about real children.

This is actually not the case in many countries outside of the USA. Often they will include context as a key part of evidence in any potential pedo-busting investigations. For example, in Canada a young girl in a swimsuit from Facebook won't get someone a CP charge if they're like, being investigated for I dunno banking fraud or something, but photos of a swimsuited girl on a computer where the investigators have reasonable doubt to assume the photos are for sexual purposes actually allows them to consider it to be CP in the context of their investigation; assuming there is other content or evidence that supports that, of course. You can't be charged straight up for CP for just having swimsuit jailbait whatever shit, but yeah, all in all it definitely seems like a way better way than the "shoulder shrugging" you described American LEOs doing.

At the very least in Canada you can get charged with harassing the girl. Canada has stricter laws than the US I think, but Tumblr is a US company. Now that said, I’d think if they do t comply with EU or Canadian or UK laws on CP they could be blocked in those regions.

Hell tumblr admins only attempted to do something about the actual, honest to God CP that was on their site because Apple made them. Tumblr admins are lazy as fuck about everything, especially enforcing their own rules.

It's obvious that these people never went on rule 34 or any hentai sites which is easy to find, that have tons of porn of underage characters. If these sites are child porn sites, then those same websites would have been shut down a long time ago.

I wouldn’t be surprised if large swathes of people posting Sheith porn were under 18. Not sure about the legality of that but it’s not a good look anyways, not in this era of mainstream internet.

(In reality Tumblr staff probably just flailed blindly in an attempt to fix the issue.)

They are, but their ages weren't confirmed until semi-recently and because of it, a lot of the tardlets on tumblr simply assumed it was Really and Honestly pedophilia.

Part of the reason they were able to run rampant on Tumblr was because, unless you know someone's user name to search by URL, the only way to find content was to have a Tumblr account to access the dashboard with, which few other websites have right now.

This is the one thing they did right - all of the map-related tags and posters in them got blasted. There’s at least two posts floating around with people laughing at how dumb the maps were to brand themselves that, and an amusing lack of replies from maps in the notes.
