I severely doubt this was actually about the CP. It was just a broad sweep of all porn blogs, a lot of art blogs with perfectly legal characters I know were completely lost and they had to email staff to recover their accounts, who claimed it was simply a ""glitch"".

tumblr will prob die because of this. even if they get put back on the iOS store, deleting all the content they will probably delete and placing additional restrictions will prob decrease engagement. Hell, social media engagement is down in general. Facebook's dropped 50% in 18 months from 2017 to mid-2018. I think in general people are starting to pull back from oversharing shit in public on the internet.
 
I once saw a guy on Tumblr who bragged about how he was raping and molesting his nephews and making child porn out of it. He was offering it on Tumblr.
Fuck, there's some disturbing shit on there.
This guy was so well known that there were posts saying to report the guy to the feds.

If it is any consolation, I have heard about how quite a few people were caught by the feds for seeking out CP on Tumblr. I have also heard about how one guy was charged with distribution for clicking the like button on many cheese pizza pictures on Tumblr. The things I learn in 12-step circles can be disturbing.

Back in the day, deviantART was the major fandom hub before everyone migrated to tumblr. I wonder where porn artists will open their businesses next. Something even more immune to moderation?

Feels like I’m watching a virus evolve.

Honestly with the number of idiot users under 18 doing camwhore shit, the whole site should’ve been nuked from orbit years ago. Add in the horrific stuff I’ve heard rumored that the staff flat out ignored, and the whole of the corporate offices should be carpet bombed.

Anyways, Tumblr has a huge MAP problem to the point where there had to have been cp floating around somewhere.

This was bound to happen some day, it was going to be between one of these fucked groups of druggies, girls who fetishize their teachers or shooters or the MAPS. The job isn't done until the website is changed.
