Trump evacuated due to shooting outside White House

President Donald Trump was abruptly pulled out of a press briefing on coronavirus by an unidentified aide on Monday evening, just minutes after he began speaking.

The White House briefing room was placed on a lock down immediately after the president was removed from the room, according to a pool report.

The aide approached the president and appeared to tell him, “we are going to have to step outside.” The president followed him out of the room.

The Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Honestly, I don't know.

This shit is sort of unprecedented in recent memory. If the perp is affiliated with BLM or Antifa then the DOJ will have a smoking gun and it will be a lot harder for the press to make this shit look good. Attacking a courthouse or a local police precinct is one thing but actually attacking the White House and violently engaging with Secret Service is a whole different ballpark.

Last time we had someone break into the White House lawn was in 2011, and that was just some lone nutjob trying to do some kind of publicity stunt. You didn't have riots and outright armed acts of rebellion in multiple major cities in 2011, since Occupy was relatively more nonviolent
