And DA’s go off of police investigations and if the cops investigated, decided not to arrest you and determined it was a justified self defense situation, and the DA decides to prosecute you anyway, then the cops who investigated will be called in to testify, back up your story, give the opinion that it was fully justified and that the investigation was cut and dry, and any attorney worth their shit will jump at the chance to represent you at a big discount if not pro bono to boost their numbers with a free win, and the DA will be scrutinized and lose public trust and faith for attempting such a ridiculous sham.
