So I just wanted to reply to this again because lol lmao i did not see the footage of him trying to stand in the shot while the team was hoisting the trophy. That was completely uncalled for, presenting some of the medals/side awards for goals and assists would've made sense, but him being present for the teams big picture is borderline absurd. Infantino was literally trying to pull him off the stage like getting a kid out of a candy store. Just no awareness to where he was at all, and in a lot of shots they just brushed him out in post.

I'm sure you can look back and find leaders of the host countries presenting awards and standing with the winning team, but nothing quite that absurd. There's a point where you're supposed to step away and let the team celebrate. It's a major accomplishment and it's not yours. I would've wanted him to stay out of frame for some shots even if it was the US that had won.
