"6-week excursion" that was officially called a war in the memorandum of understanding.
There is finally peace in the Middle East, thanks to God-Emperor Trump, the greatest of all greats. No one knows how to secure long-lasting peace quite like him. That's what people say about him. In fact, he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for how effectively he maintains peace with former adversaries.
If the MoU is simplified and implemented exactly as written (and maximized by both parties), then the final outcome would be this:
1) Iran doesn't create or procure nuclear weapons; Iran doesn't seek further uranium enrichment for nuclear weapons.
2) Iran gains some illegal control over the Strait (eroding international laws and norms enshrined in the UNCLOS) and extorts ships.
3) Iran receives at least $300 billion from the US and its partners to rebuild Iran.
4) All sanctions against Iran are lifted.
5) Israel withdraws entirely from Lebanon.
6) No future conflicts between the US and Iran (and everyone's allies)
Researchers have called the US-Iran war a bigger defeat than Vietnam, and it will have longer-lasting consequences. Iran is fighting to illegally control an international waterway to extort ships--an act that China and other countries are envious of. Freedom of navigation isn't guaranteed now and in the future, and that's a direct result of this war. The US military is weaker now than before the war, and needs time just to replenish its munitions. The US failed to bomb Iran into submission and had to make "a lot" of concessions--as admitted by MIGA Congressmen--just to get an end to the war. And there isn't even an end right now. Both countries have already violated the MoU multiple times, and it's been like a week since it was signed. There's no logical or rational way to spin this war as a "win" for the US. Iran can rebuild its military, and if the MoU falls through, then Iran can just seek out nuclear weapons again. The American people faced economic hardship during this war on top of everything. Trump and MIGA want a ~44% increase in military spending for the Department of War for future wars--wars that the US isn't guaranteed to come out victorious in, and now the world knows it.
Was all of that worth it to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons that they were never going to use against the US? Is that a better deal than the JCPOA he withdrew the US from?

To those who don’t know/are rusty, the 1st Great Awakening (before the Revolution) basically spawned these denominations in their recognizable form. The 2nd Great Awakening (before the Civil War, also during and after in the South) made them dominant. They mostly converted people away from Epsicopalianism, which went into terminal decline, and Congregationalism/Puritanism depending on if you’re talking South or North. (Congregationalism morphed into United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalism.)
A lot of people have this thing of seeing these churches as invisible (they’re MOST of the Christian population) and conflating whatever retarded shit Evangelicalism is getting up to today with Evangelicalism as a core identity. Closest I think can compare it to would be like living in Renaissance Europe and saying indulgences is what Catholicism is, or being in medieval Europe and saying monasticism is. Evangelicalism isn’t Israel worship, the Religious Right, , prosperity gospel, megachurches, etc. it’s a branch of the Christian religion that happens to have gotten eat up with these things in living memory. It’s older than the US is. They have it in Europe too. Mainline denominations (name that really means “elite”) had evangelical wings. That’s actually where Methodism comes from, they were Epsicopalianism having its own Reformation when John Wesley didn’t get the memo that Epsicopalianism is a fake gay church.
