Its the "This is fake and you know it is" talk that irritates me the most, just skipping over actually arguing why you think its not real and just going right into very poor gaslighting that always fails once Trump confirms it

Sadly Rubio is probably the most qualified of any of the fat child rapist's cabinet appointees and is somehow the most tolerable of any of them

I trust that my boy Bessent will become the first (openly) homosexual POTUS with Vance as the first lady. Rubio stands no chance. Hegseth is fucked too although I'm starting to suspect that the Kirk murder case is going to tank Kash sooner than most expect.
 
To a large portion of the base, there's no such thing as "a good one" when it comes to skin complexions darker than a sheet of copier paper. Rubio has no chance. It would be as humiliating as running a woman a third time for the Dems (which they'll probably do because they're allergic to getting us past this MAGA era)

Yeah, they grift just as hard in the opposite direction. It's why to me things are so dire. It's why going into this election Trump was so appealing. They like doing the same thing maga does, they all use the same tactics to farm outrage from their base.

I think looking specifically at the time when the election was talking place, and when Trump first got into office it really gives the best picture of how fucked up both sides are.

They had Kamala essentially saying Trump was hitler in election campaign speeches, and a not insignificant portion of her base fully believed that. Then when he won, I remember seeing people talking about going to get guns, that their is about to be a trans genocide. Then they grabbed that stupid video of Elon must doing the "my heart goes out to you" thing and seemingly everyone on the left just running with it like he was just casually doing nazi salutes. None of them stopped to ask themselves, "why would he do a nazi salute on stage?" As if doing a roman salute would make any logical sense to do even if he was secretly a nazi genuinely its so fucking dumb. no one tried to he reasonable about it. They just went for the outrage bait.

This thread does a great job of pointing out the MIGA version of that insanity. It's that exact dynamic that I see as the current problem in American politics. If neither side is willing to be reasonable I think things will continue to get worse.
