Honestly I don't hold anything people who try everything with an aggressive cancer, as Scott Adams did. Same with people who have Motor Neuron Disease or Parkinson's. Those conditions are fucking awful and it is part of the human condition to fight and try everything to keep going. The ones I get angry at are quacks who talk people into only doing alternative medicine, theses are people who are grifting on a dying person's hope and often are making the condition and suffering worse as a result.
In the US it's actually still legal to kill yourself. Getting someone else to kill you is shifting that moral burden on someone else, and even worse than that it forces them to take that burden (i.e. it is part of their job duties). Death sentence is the same, as far as I care. Forcing an employee to undertake the spiritually degrading effort of taking countless lives is inhuman and should not become law.
