Simple: a large number of the gay catboy's audience is still not letting go of Trump. No matter how many times he tried to castigate Trump as a traitor to the white race and to America First interests, a large number of those white power folks will never let go of Trump, because they're political animals who know for a fact that once Trump falls, it will only be leftists all the way. The Groypers have no chance of fielding a candidate of their own, let alone winning an election; they repulse minorities and women so much that they would still lose even if it's only white men over 20 who are voting.
So even though Fuentes has berated Trump in the past, he will still try to patch things up with Trump now and then, and try to come up with a common ground between the Groypers and MAGA. It's the only way he can move forward without becoming a political nonentity.
