The fact that the first instinct of certain American politicians is to engage in finger pointing over the body of a murdered woman rather than coming together to find solutions is telling to say the least. If you were to tell the average public transit enjoyer living in China, Japan, or Europe that you could risk being stabbed to death by a schizo black just for riding public transit in America, their first reaction would be to call bullshit.
Such an atrocity happening is so insanely rare that tragedies committed on public transit overseas are burned into the collective consciousness of the people living there. Yet in America people have become so numbed to unacceptable amounts of violence & social disruption that it is met with a mere shrug. Want to know how I can tell the country is cooked?
