It'd be great if everytime I looked into something it didn't lead back to the Masons

Masons are a recruitment front for talent. Their public image is as a community-based fraternal organization, which is designed to recruit personality types that will be obedient to authority if they think it will benefit their community/themselves. From there, they are filtered by intelligence and competence and those considered suitable are promoted within the organization, and given support if they take public office. This is why so many politicians and celebrities have some kind of Masonic ties.
The obvious catch is having to do "favors" for your superiors, which may include passing certain laws (if a politician) or letting fellow Masons off with low punishment for crimes (if a judge) or producing certain kinds of propaganda (if an actor/entertainer) and so on and so forth.
Other groups like the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, Lions Club, etc, are similar recruitment fronts that are either run by different groups of elites., and/or designed to recruit different talent/skill types.
But back to the thread topic, this is partly why certain figures are loyal to Trump, and partly why Trump is loyal to other certain figures. They have agreements and "status rankings" among themselves, partly because of these fraternal society memberships.
Edit: I know a lot of people dismiss Mason stuff as being conspiracy nonsense, but if you think of Masons as a mafia with more ceremonial larping and better optics, then it makes more sense.
