Bible canon is a lot more clear on this in places, but biblical canon is a very contentious topic, largely because the idea that a bunch of Italian Catholics finalized which books are a part of the bible and which aren't is a huge mental hurdle in the armor of evangelicals. The parishioners despise Catholicism, but in most cases, giving up the canon bible you grew up with in exchange for an understanding that dozens of books were excluded by the Western church, is a bridge too far.

That said, I don't blame them for believing in the rapture, because it fits the totality of the literature, but every day that evangelicals allow themselves to be cucked by a long since dead Catholic tribunal is a day that they stray farther from god.
