You don't really need to change the election day if you have mail-in voting. Five states: Colorado, Hawai'i, Oregon, Utah and Washington are now basically entirely mail-in voting.

There were more states than not that allowed no excuse mail-in voting, but since Trump came out against it, they've been trying to roll it back, and after 2020 they're especially trying to get rid of it in Republican controlled states.

Texas of all places permits you to vote from space.

Because one side has a bigger base that is incredibly lazy, and the other side has a smaller base, but they absolutely always show up, and often are super voters who show up in every single primary and minor local election and ballot question and anything else imaginable.
