Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I know Scott is a smart guy and it would be foolish to just say he's wrong because I don't share or like some of his political beliefs. I've seen him make enough solid arguments to know his brain works.

But I still have to conclude he's so far out in left field, sociopolitically, that he isn't aware of that himself. For example, this is a dude who is scientifically minded to an autistic degree but still sticks fucking "trigger warnings" at the beginning of his posts. Everything in modern psychology tells us those are not only unnecessary but that they do the exact opposite of what SocJus types claim they are intended to do: help people with problems. At best they do nothing but virtue signal to SJWs. At worst, they prevent people with problems from facing and overcoming them (in perhaps the last threatening way possible).

Why would a smart guy interested primarily in where the evidence takes us continue to include pure nonsense like that with every post on his blog? Either he's doing what he thinks he has to do to get through to SJWs (and I don't find that convincing) or he's not as interested in the truth as he is in signaling his left-wing biases/alliances.

But yes, occasionally he has an insightful analysis of a complicated issue. That's what makes the rest of his bullshit so frustrating.

Would you accept it as a way to ward off criticism from the SJ left, or at least make what he's saying slightly more palatable? As I said, he doesn't seem to get that the people on the far left are not arguing in good faith.

He's since been reported to the FBI and hidden his account, like the brave badass he is.

Comments are about what you'd expect. Nobody "torched" Trump. They all just tried to one-up each other on who could be more offended and virtuous. Found a few special ones though.

"Oh no, Trump didn't look wall-to-wall sad over 9/11 in all the pictures that were taken. By the way, read my Tumblr post about how he's worse than 9/11 for America. I call him Orange Loser at least three times, tee hee!"

I have a really difficult time trying to decide which of these is funnier: Someone shooting themselves in the arm to spite Trump, or someone at the Washington Post writing a headline that implies that Trump controls an illegal weather machine.

1. Many hormonal birth-control pills do not prevent conception. Some do not prevent ovulation, but only implantation, by design, resulting in the expulsion of the unborn. And even then, they do not uniformly work, meaning that conception can occur. It really makes picking a birth-control method more difficult for pro-life women. How do you call yourself a feminist and not know this, Hillary?

2. Equivalent rights. Hmm, let's see. Many doctors will refuse to perform a vasectomy on a man without his wife's permission. Also, a father cannot compel the mother to have an abortion, meaning that a man's only absolute "choice" in reproduction is abstinence. And since we've already established that oh no absolutely nobody is capable of abstinence we are all slaves to our gonads, it means women have more reproductive rights than men.

3. There's that radical feminism. According to Hillary, pregnancy and motherhood make women automatically less than equal to men. In order to be fully equal to men, we must be sterile. To which I say, misogyny.

Okay, can I just admit that between this and a few other posts, I am genuinely astonished that people are so stupid that they are blaming Trump, a mortal human even if he is POTUS, for the damage caused by NATURAL disasters? We can't slip much more into idiocy beyond this point, right? ...right?

Modern person: "Oh, those dumb religionists think God might have had a hand in that natural disaster, some sort of judgment maybe. What a bunch of superstitious morons, amirite? I Fucking Love Science (tm)."

Also modern person: "THIS NATURAL DISASTER FALLS UPON US BECAUSE WE DID NOT ELECT THE CHOSEN ONE! REPENT AND BE WITH HER, LEST WE SUFFER THE WRATH OF MOTHER EARTH! SCIENCE HATH DECREED IT!"

I know when Hurricane Katrina happened, people were upset at Bush for not acting quickly enough, though I could swear some of them blamed him for the hurricane.

Many of us have been saying that Democrats have been shooting themselves in the foot since 2016. I guess this is just the natural progression.
