Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

He was over at the Michigan rally, anyways, which I have to say went a Hell of a lot better than that catastrophe of a dinner. He makes a damned good point, too: These people literally, wholly hate you if you don't fall lock-step with their politics. I've seen some shit-flinging in my life, but when an entire political party has gotten so deranged that you have to wonder if you're going to be physically assaulted just for wearing a hat in public, there's a problem.

One of the problems with hyper-aggressive politicking is that it incentives the people in the middle to just stand down and not bother playing anymore. It's easy to forget that there were a hundred million eligible voters who didn't bother to vote. Why not? Maybe they thought it wouldn't make a difference (i.e. a Democrat in Arizona, or a Republican in Massachusetts). Maybe they saw it as a choice between the lesser of two evils and decided they liked neither.

I'm glad he's skipping the WHCD again. I think that event is a waste of time and money. Why should any president, or at least any president who won't get a free pass from the press, have to sit through the jokes/insults they've probably heard a thousand times and don't care about? It's government's job to govern, not host a comedy club.

Although, to the media's credit, a Hillary Clinton WHCD would be just as unfunny, since everyone would probably be too afraid to tell real jokes.
A Hillary Clinton WHCD would’ve been exactly like an Obama one. Where most of the “jokes” were about how perfect he was.

On the other hand, I’m picturing the WHCD if Trump ends up being reelected. It’s gonna devolve into primal scream therapy:

Announcer: *shrieks incoherently*
Audience: *applause*
Announcer: begins to claw at face and hair while continuing to scream
Audience: several chuckles, more applause.
Announcer: scrabbles onto the podium to tak a shit, while tearing at clothes and drawing blood from the scratches on face and shrieking
Audience: standing ovation

CNN: “In a truly thought provoking act comedian ____ really threw out all of the stops in their roast of President Trump.”

Oh, they’ll be laughing alright. Just not with them.

Why do these people think "snowflake" is about being offended?
Because being called "snowflake," and thus mocking them for their sensitivity instead of rewarding them for it, really offends them. It's the sole reason they ineptly try to turn it back on their enemies, unaware that the insult loses all power when it isn't accurate.

Why do these people think "snowflake" is about being offended?

It's more about what they do after they're offended. Sperging out and trying to destroy things is snowflake behavior.

What kind of an asshole comes up with a "joke" like that? It's not even remotely funny, it's just bitter as fuck.

I think he shtick was attempting a bipartison joke -> attacking one of the parties -> Simply state a CNN talking point because "lol, too real" -> Repeat.

He might be a fundy on TBN but I'll never force him to bake me a wedding cake.

It's funny how the left's tendency to become unhinged and fear-monger as of late has fatally wounded their ability to make comedic points.

Everyone thinks they're legitimately panicking even when being sarcastic. While they've smeared the right as such subhumans that a Republican saying "What's so wrong with genocide anyway?" would get laughed at even if serious..... they've made such a baby-eating boogeyman of the opposition that a senator who's merely rude and misinformed seems endearing and kinda harmlessly funny like a Chihuahua yapping at your ankles, honestly thinking it could take you on....

Curiously enough, Trump attended one of Obama's earlier WHCD's in 2011, I believe, and Obama spent an unusual amount of time up on the podium laying into Donald Trump, of all people. It is a very strange video in retrospect, and the more times you watch it, the more you really have to wonder just how long this plan of his to dismantle everything Obama ever touched was really in the works.

The WHCD has been on a steady decline in terms of being able to justify its existence since at least the 1980s, but it's an event that people really began to question underneath Obama, because what had originally been a fairly informal, one-day affair designed to draw in money for charities was rapidly turning into an expensive, week-long festival of decadence that was more concerned with champagne and blowing smoke up Obama's ass than it was to elicit funding for important charity events.

The WHCD extends well beyond just that one dinner now, too. There was a journalist from Politico who actually ended up quitting his job just to work on a documentary about how far the WHCD had strayed from its original purpose, which was largely supposed to be about raising money for journalistic scholarships, and has since exploded into a week composed of 40 different, lavish parties where the line between Hollywood and Politics became increasingly, disturbingly difficult to find.

Even the Huffington fucking Post was writing articles critical of the WHCD in its later years, because it had just become completely indefensible. Most of the parties being held outside of the WHCD were not only off limits for the same reporters, but in many cases they were off the record entirely even though all of the same politicians and celebrities were involved.

The entire thing has just become some massive circle-jerk between politicians, celebrities, and the mainstream media, and I really could not be happier that he's making a routine of snubbing his invitations. The WHCD has long-since outstayed its welcome, it's doing nothing productive, and it's accomplished nothing to curb the rise of "celebrity journalism", which needed to be taken out behind a shed and shot more than a decade ago.

So, uh... That White House Correspondents dinner was unbelievably unfunny, apparently. Not even from like a "typical Trump-bashing Liberals" kind of way either, that was legitimately one of the least-funny "roasts" I've ever heard in my life, as delivered by a helium-filled abortion of a comedian with Ramen noodles for hair.

"What's the equivalent for Uncle Tom, but for people who disappoint white women?" Holy shit, why.

Why even have a White House Correspondents dinner in our political climate? All it does is solidify the media's political MO, either sucking off Obama or sharing weak bantz over Trump. It's pointless. Maybe if there was a political variety of comedians, maybe a Trey Parker or a Dennis Miller, then it would be tolerable. But then again these events aren't keen with variety or subtlety. And no one minds.

Yeah, this shit is nothing new, but that's the point. What was said by any comedian that night that they couldn't have thrown away on a tweet? Or said on a talk show?

Internet killed TV humor because shitposting on forums, chans and even on twatter is thousand times funnier. And we do this for free.

It irritates me viewing these millionaires who just read scripts written by other millionaires doing extremely unfunny jokes and gags. I rather stay here on farms with our dank memes.

There's denial going on Twitter assuming that goo- I mean the translation of what he said.

Earlier today, I predicted to Mr. Bame, "No doubt the white American SJWs will come to the rescue of the poor dumb Korean who doesn't understand English as well as they do, or his own country's politics...or language at all."

It's like dynamiting fish in a barrel these days.
