Your fantasies about this man you hate savor of delicious salt. Mmm.

I hate all politicians, for varying reasons, though mostly because they're the kind of people that spend most of their lives trying to tell us what to do, and generally playing the fool for the yokels (No matter who those yokels are). All politicians are scum. If you feel that The One has come along and is different from all the others, then you are one of those yokels.

But that has nothing to do with the bet. That's just gambling, and I never "gamble like a fan". I placed this bet based on his age, habits, general lack of physical condition, and temper. It's a high stress job. He isn't gonna make it.

its one of those bullshit 'facts' that you smell burnt toast before you have a stroke, the same way you only use 10% of your brain SO WHOA DUDE IMAGINE IF WE USED 100% OF IT

Phantosmia is in fact a possible symptom of a stroke, though it can also be a symptom of other neurological problems, like tumors.

Última edición por un moderador:
I hear a lot of people say this, but since the news is completely useless these days, I don't even know what Trump has done, or how it compared with the previous administrations, or a theoretical Clinton Presidency.

All things told, the economy is doing well and getting better, most of Trump's cabinet was appointed even quicker than Obama's, his actual foreign visits and interfacing with foreign dignitaries has been received extremely well (in particular with Saudi Arabia and China, which the news informed us would be terrible) and the world has continued to turn. That said, particularly with regards to the economy, some would credit Obama over Trump, but those are the same people that also blamed the shitty economic years of Obama on Bush instead (because they are partisans, mainly), but at some point the sitting president has to own it.

Sticking points which agitate people have largely been the withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement and the inability so far to provide a comprehensive alternative to obamacare. How much you care about those things will vary from person to person, but outside of his full time salt mining, his current actual presidency has hardly been problematic, if we approach it purely on the issues and trajectory of the country.

That said, actual NEWS coverage is nonexistent.

Donald is throwing his support behind the parents of that little baby in the UK that the health panel over there basically condemned to die. I know people love to joke about extra-dimensional chess, but this is a pretty masterful move. His critics have two lose-lose choices:

1. Criticize Donald for wanting to help a little baby that's going to die (because that will endear people to your #resistance cause, surely)
2. Congratulate and commend him for doing it.

Or they can just not put it on CNN/Twitter/Facebook and no one will know or care.

"You've got a serious hate-on for this guy."
"WELL WHY DON'T YOU MARRY HIM IF YOU LIKE HIM SO MUCH, YOU YOKEL?!"

:story: Do another one. I like this routine.

Pretty much, and that's why Trump may stay in eight years (if he chooses to do so).

Naming up and coming stars in the republican party is not hard. Rubio, Paul, Jindall, Gowdy, Cruz, and many more are all (relatively, look at the ages of Trump, Clinton, and Sanders) young or newer faces that have some national recognition for one reason or another. Some of them are even liked for their bipartisan efforts or governorship.

Now do it for democrats. Who comes to mind? Warren? Schumer? Pelosi? Clinton? The same old names, and each is as deeply divisive as Trump is. Warren's current claim to fame is being a cunt during senate hearings. Pelosi is leading the democratic party into ruin. Schumer is a well known and competent senator beloved in NY, but the right HATES him, and he is not particularly moderate. Clinton? I am sure Clinton will do a lot better the third go around, right? If they want to re-run Sanders for 2020, they better have a really good mortician on tap to keep him looking fresh- and despite Sanders' disarming nature and generally nice-guy appearance, coming out and labeling your platform as socialism is a really good way to make middle America look the other way.

When it comes to thinking of younger, more charismatic democratics one really starts to draw a blank. A few have put forward Kamala Harris. The problem is, she's one of those left coast liberals that democrats keep pandering to and losing their asses because of it. I really can't think of any plausible challengers that would actually be worth their salt- although a few will certainly materialize as the election draws close.

The democrats are not going to regain the Senate in 2018, and while the house is possible, Republicans control the majority of state governments, in both the executive and legislative branches.

Shifting demographics aside, the democrats just are making it really hard to win.

Also, constant media shitting on Trump has caused him to become immune to it. I wonder if his shit umbrella will extend to any other republicans running? The public opinion of conventional media is so far below what it used to be (for good reason) that one has to wonder what degree they will change the race.

There are up and comers for the Democrats as well, but most of them are Clinton acolytes like Corey Booker and Julian Castro. They share the same disconnect in ideology from the base that Clinton had and while they'll get talked up in the media a lot they couldn't mount an effective challenge in 2018 or 2020. Tulsi Gabbard is pretty much the only young Democrat who has a workable strategy to get votes back in 2018 but she's essentially been excommunicated for being conciliatory towards Trump.

So do you actually have a solution or are you one of those Self defeating faggots who only bitch and moan while claiming to be "neutral"

Good to know the NHS has policies that determine whether a person's life has enough value to merit medical attention. I'm sure that's what we want here, too.
The kid can't breath on his own and the best case scenario of the treatment won't fix that or the likely to be severe brain damage. It's fucked up, but that kid is the definition of a lost cause.

This is all about the travel ban, btw.

It... it's only for 3 months, and it's something Obama did in the past. I get that they are butthurt, but holy fuck this is an astounding overreaction.

Let's be honest. If the Supreme Court rules in Trump's favor on the travel ban, he's just going to keep renewing the ban. There's not going to be any real way to do "extreme vetting", and we'll just end up with a comfortable travel ban on countries with terrorists trying to get in our borders.

Which means moar salt

It's mostly because these kids can't imagine a human being doing other than trying to take over the world and destroy his enemies. After all, they'd do it--and they think they would have gotten their chance if it hadn't been for those darn Trumpkids and their dog.

I seem to recall that the protests outside George W. Bush's presidential library only lasted a few weeks before dissipating. It's pretty much impossible to start shit inside presidential libraries due to the thorough security screening of all visitors and their belongings, in addition to the fact that you generally have to pay for admission unless you're a veteran or federal government employee.
What will happen is that there needs to be another president or two after Trump, then suddenly the left will be saying "Yeah, he was all right! Boy, I miss him! This jerk we have in office now is Literally Hitler!"

It happened with GWBush, it happened with Reagan. I bet you a mortgage payment that in 2030, democrats will be looking at Trump as "Good old Uncle Donald"
