This is under 1,000 people framed to make it look like a yuge event. You can see in the foreground the crowd is already thinning. So what you see in the picture is the whole event even though they are trying to make it look like its from the middle of a sea of people. In the background, they can't even go around the reflecting pool, tricking to single file. The photographer lowered the angle of the shot to try to make the pool look impossibly long, and make the thinning crowd look less sparce, and hide the fact they barely make it half way. They also chose the "thicker" side, as you can see on the "far" side the crowd is very thin, but the low angle and distance helps hide this.
Anyone that compares January 6th to 9/11 should be lobotomized.
That's the one thing that always pissed me off about the level of hate Trump gets.
It's always funny when they use this picture (posted by Jeff Finlen in the middle, with the two photos compared) because that's not smoke and fire in the second photo, that's the police crowd control they were trying to fuck up protestors with. Totally the same thing though.

Seeing stuff like this confirms the dead Internet theory for me. Somebody had the right mind to type shit like that and have a bunch of people respond accordingly. I have a hard time believing there's actual people thinking like this with anti-Trump memes on the ready.
