You can be as "diverse" as you like indeed, when boiled down away from skin colour, the Republicans are more diverse when it comes to economics, gaining poor voters and rich ones alike as well as netting a wider range of people from cities and rural communities alike. It could be argued that the Reps have the wider tent on that basis, as their message was far simpler "Make America Great Again" summed up the whole election and is lifted from whole cloth from the Leave strategy of the phrase "Take Back Control". A simple phrase that means a wide range of things and printed on hats, T-Shirts, and repeated ad-infinitum. It also had nothing whatsoever to do with Trump himself.

While the Dems have a "diverse" grouping on paper nearly all of these groups fall under trendy-metro-elites label. They make half decent(ish) money and thus could afford to indulge in such political play. It also makes for a garbled as hell message to send out to the wider public, especially to those that will actually matter for your own political power. What was Hilary's messages? "I'm with Her" "First Female President" and the lacklustre "Stronger Together."

While it is possible to develop or otherwise trigger a previously unknown seizure disorder, most people with such disorders have safety software / plugins installed to avoid any potential seizures like having to click on a gif before it plays, having a tinted screen, or disabling images/videos that play above a certain frames per second rate.
 
Like all good fanatics, their response to losing is to redouble their efforts and step up the purging of nonbelievers from their ranks.

This. Also this is why Brexit won, because the Remainers campaign was by their own admission called "Project Fear," i.e. they ran their campaign on "we're not those bastards." Similarly, Hillary's entire case for being president was "I'm not Donald Trump." That didn't work when John Kerry ran on "I'm not George Bush" either.
