I love how the media claims half of Donald Trump's twitter followers are fake when most of the huge celeb accounts have the same figures, more or less. If you check using TwitterAudit, Hillary has 6 million fake followers while Katy Perry has like 66 million fake followers

A US comedian has apologised for a photo shoot in which she appeared holding a fake bloodied head that resembled US President Donald Trump.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Kathy Griffin "begged" for forgiveness and said she had "crossed a line".

She said she was asking celebrity photographer Tyler Shields to remove the photo from the internet.

In her video apology, she said: "I'm just now seeing the reaction of these images. I'm a comic, I crossed the line. I moved the line and then I crossed it. I went way too far.

"The image is too disturbing. I understand how it affects people. It wasn't funny, I get it. I beg for your forgiveness."

Lots of people use twitter as a glorified RSS feed instead of actually tweeting on the platform. The "bot detector" sites cannot distinguish between the two. It's not a reflection of how many real people follow an account, so much as a reflection of the average engagement of an account's followers. Surprise surprise Trump, and media twitter accounts as well, post a super low engagement rate because many people follow them for news, not to autistically screech at the account in question.
 
I swear, Twitter is a god damn drug. It's like injecting unwarranted self-importance, righteous indignation, and pseudo-celebrity directly into the part of your psyche that demands attention and approval. Makes meth look like Diet 7-up by comparison.

holy fuck, all but a few of my followers are real people. I post some gory things, I didn't expect that they were all actual people

I'm beating the president? statistically? that's bizarre.

I can't even get salty about him after this revelation. the covfefe thing is still great though. I'm enjoying watching people defend it almost as much as the jokes of rage against him for it. excuse the double post, I got excited
