The IRS/DoJ is prevented from trying to go after Trump/Trump's relatives for any previous tax filings or tax filings that were pending as of the date of the settlement (that is, through tax year 2025/ Q1 of Tax year 2026). I would sort of care, except as pointed out this exact avenue has been used to try to attack, sandbag, and leak information.
