There very much is that "older Millennial" type, you know the one, who was involved in Web 2.0 and was active during the heyday of Youtube before the culture war slop started, the biggest "media bad guys" in those days were Jack Thompson and the Westboro Baptist Church; those media bogeymen might be where a lot of the liberal left stuff roots back to in 2025.

Meanwhile, younger Millennials seem to be the Tumblr gender types. Pre-2000 Zoomers are kind of like the first group of Millennials I talked about and have Web 2.0 memories (growing up with Sparta remixes as a contemporary meme and watching Klay World on Newgrounds kind of thing), while the younger Zoomers are more like the "TikTok broccoli hair" types who get more like that the closer the generation gets to the cutoff in 2012 when Gen Alpha starts. A chunk of 97-99 Zoomers, some with literal Boomer parents, act more like jaded Gen Xers with "early Millennial" Internet experiences. (Not surprising, since Gen X swung hardest for Trump in 2024).

That explains everything. Even me as an early Gen Z i've seen people my age do that when i was younger.

This is why I half wonder if Trump is playing the brer rabbit strategy.

As someone pointed out, Trump was the first to collaborate woth the FBI on Epstein and banned him from MarALago. If anything, there's a chance the epstein files make him look better.

As the joke goes: Trump shoul praise oxygen so democrats will hold their breath. If I were him I'd be doing this to until the Left is basically begging for the files to be released and then burn the Democrat party to the ground (and half of the Republicans). They're outright saying there, no mercy, no quarter to the criminals. So hold them to that and reveal you have to lock up half of your political enemies per what your citizens were demanding.
