So to me how these people can choose to do this to themselves is an alien concept to me, as I don't understand why anyone would invest in anything that is beyond their control.

I keep trying to tell people that all they needed to do to beat Trump was treat him like a normal politician. Especially the media. Had they just reported on him fairly a lot of the wind would have gone out of his sails and his whole effort would have fizzled.

Heck if you bother to read the Against Trump issue of NRO or visited in the Right circles online, a lot of concern back then was that Trump would cuck out and betray any conservative efforts. But then, irony of ironies, the Left went so hard against him and refused to ever, ever deal with him, they pushed him into being one of the most right-wing presidents of my lifetime.

It makes me laugh every time that I see these people have literally created their own boogeyman.

To back this point, Trump wrote a book called The Art of the Deal, yet many news outlets still don’t understand his viewpoints or what he did before entering politics. Trump continues to win while his critics keep losing or waste money trying to sue him again. It’s a tired, bread-and-butter tactic: “I’m mad, so let’s be mad together and protest until a left-wing president takes office—then we can stop protesting.” It’s a real-life clown world at this point. You just can’t please stupid people.
 
Trump well and truly broke what little brains the lefties ever had.

They were so certain that Obama was an End of History transformative figure that would usher in permanent leftist dominance over America that they genuinely never imagined that any other outcome could occur.

Sometimes I think to myself that it must be nice to be immune to brainwashing by virtue of having nothing to wash and how happy those people must be.

But then I look and see that Kyla and Pakman are some of the most miserable faggots around. I would pity them if I thought for a single second that they would reciprocate if our positions were reversed. I know better though, so fuck 'em.

Exactly this. If the leftoids had just treated him like any other Democrat, Trump's grandiose boasts would have fallen completely flat and no normies would have been red pilled because he'd have looked like a blowhard. But by actually conspiring against him, they make Trump's point and turn him into a rallying figure and make themselves look horrible to normies. And they keep doing it, over and over again.

My favorite example was the BBC, in their rush to own Trump, compiled a list of like 23 islamic terror attacks in the past few years with "see? Its not dozens!" not realizing they did exactly what Trump wanted but putting a list of the most fucked up Muslims Gone Wild. Anyone who was on the fence could now see "fuck that's a lot of attacks, they said its not a problem; what else are they lying about?"

Ik sarcasm but I hear this genuinely and I always hated the argument that tariffs on china makes shit expensive. It is very expensive to ship shit from china to here, the reason it seems cheap is because of trade agreements forced on America by our involvement in the Universal Postal Union. They set the rates countries pay for shipping of single item packages, for China they are considered "developing" so get free to inexpensive shipping, and the consumer in America does not pay much for shipping. BUT that doesn't take away that it is FUCKING EXPENSIVE to ship shit across the world on giant ships, so each package actually costs like $50 to ship, BUT you aren't allowed to charge the consumer that. SO at the end of a period the american government basically "settles up" and pays the full price of shipping using tax money and profits from raised domestic shipping rates. So in effect, China is getting HEAVILY subsidized by American tax payer money and isn't actually a good place to manufacture shit because free labour doesn't offset the cost of expensive shipping without this loophole. Also the automation America has combined with worth ethic means its actually not very expensive to manufacture here unlike what the rhetoric says. On top of having shipping from China covered by taxes and raising domestic shipping rates (which makes small businesses less feasible), is that they use a loophole that prevents taxes on items shipped under $800. Its a whole fucking scam and nobody wants to hear about it irl.
