In no way shape or form is he wrong, however he is british and I feel like he needs to address the gang-raping elephant in his own room before throwing shade on the US.
Hopefully people won't begrudge me for necro-replying by a few days, but I missed the chance in the US politics thread as well and I want to rage about how much I hate this guy, since most non-Brits won't know how he is. His "stage name" is Jonathan Pie, and starting in 2015 he put up a Youtube video skit with the premise that he was a real reporter who records his segment, and then goes on a "hot mic" rant about the
stupid fucktrumpet right-wing politicians. Slightly funny gag, gets a lot of attention from the centrist facebook boomers. He then does the same video again, with the initial "real reporting" section on a slightly different political topic of the day. Then again, and again, and again. This motherfucker has been making the same one joke for over
nine years. In a few months it will be a nice round decade. For some ungodly reason they all still get views, but I don't know what the hell goes through his head when he gets up in the morning. "Right, time to put on my news suit, make my hair look like shit on purpose and go out and record the same joke for the literal X hundredth time".
At least in this video he actually seems to be skewering the awful tactics and communications of the left a bit and putting a bit of self-deprecating humour in about having a "meltdown". Normally the joke isn't
on him for being a perpetually angry, left wing reporter. The point of the "joke" is that the viewers are meant to clap along like seals because "he's saying what we're all thinking! Those idiot cockwomble right-wing Brexiteer Trump-voters! Hahaha".
