I think the reason the Proud Boys have been so attacked and hammered on is because the Democrats are terrified that there will be a right leaning version of antifa. They really don't want libertarians and conservatives grouping up for some "peaceful protesting" and activism that their useful idiots in antifa do.

Libertarians won't do that because they're pretty incapable of organising anything (look at the Libertarian Party), but a conservative version of antifa is absolutely possible. I'd say it's already appeared with Rittenhouse and other militia groups this year but it doesn't have any kind of organisation and is only on an ad hoc basis.

Because the Right knows any kind of organization or coordination will get their groups Waco'd faster than you can say "mostly peaceful protest".

Ahhh, it's kind of amusing finding a case of TDS where you don't expect it.
I know this dude just because he shares a lot of art, but wew, he's just going to block people who aren't on his side.

Bonus: Ant's autistic rant trying to exonerate mainstream media from its dumbass takes on COVID-19 by saying it's all Trump's fault...because Trump's actions somehow exonerate the media and the democrats from their mistakes?

I'm going to get some popcorn for election night. You know, just in case.

Why is it that people with real talent for art, (something that I'm envious of) are real douche bags in real life? I mean, why bother asking people to reply if the sole purpose is to block them? That's why I left Deviantart. That place is a cesspool of garbage and trash.

During the Clinton years yes, at this point probably no. There have been massive fund raising initiatives for Rittenhouse and I would expect some kind of counter-antifa would actually be quite well received at this point.

Obviously if they started taking out hits on people and destroying property they would be suppressed though.

I think defensive hometown militias would work best.

More likely survival and tactical training schools and clubs.

Thats the difference between the right and left. The left does things in groups. the right gets trained by groups and are instructed how to achieve goals on their own (or as an individual)

Two things:

First, that guy doesn't draw anything. He just reposts art. Which is not bad at all, he's got a fairly large following, and it can bring the artists a good amount of exposure.

Second, a lot of artists think they're misunderstood and underdogs and that they deserve more respect than they get. Guess which political philosophy panders to that toxic mindset?

If any even remotely right-wing group gets into trouble and needs to fundraise to cover legal costs, you can be sure the credit card operators will cancel their asses in no time flat like what happened to Rittenhouse. I wouldn't be surprised if the left were trying to find a way to stop people from getting money through bitcoin at this point. That's how far cancel culture goes in 2020.

There's plenty of small libertarians out there that would participate in an antifa analogue, though the problem is that there is no systemic support in the media and from politicians. Even locally there wouldn't be the same support that antifa gets. No DA to low-ball on bail, no "freedom fund" bailing people out.

And yes, any right wing organization attempts do quickly get subverted and suppressed, and that's something that is going to have to be worked around somehow. Especially when any kind of legal defenses and funding is fucked with hard.

There's less institutional support, but it will be easier for conservative groups to build public relations at a personal level. Unlike antifa they won't be looting or setting anything on fire, which would absolutely ruin community relations regardless of what talking heads say. Over time this will lead to more popular acceptance in the regions they're active, which is very important in the long run.

I dont think the right can be organized. They use groups to get training to handle things as an individual. So copying the left way of doing thing wont fit with the right wing mentality. How to organize a counter movement around that I dont know.

This is assuming you mean the right are all hyper-individualistic libertarians. That's not really true for the most part. Being a capitalist doesn't mean you hate organisation.

Didnt say they were hyper individualists or capitalists. Nor did I say they hate organization. I stated right wingers behave differently then left wingers. So this means a model for organizing the right wing going need to fit the right wing mentality.

I guess the left operates like a pack or herd animal where the right works in how a conference or convention would be set up.

I also had the realization that anybody trying to organize anything would be called out as a glownigger. Every libertarian and ancap I know on the internet is constantly on edge about that kind of honeypot, because while there is a desire for that kind of action it's really hard to find a critical mass of like-minded people willing to take action or steps towards organization because the risks of a glow op is too high.

Edit: with groups like Patriot Prayer and whatever one organized the Virginia capitol protest I'm 100% sure glowniggers had infiltrated.

Which is why I reccomend the starve the beast method. The less you feed the system the less power it has over you.

Edit:
Im thinking potlucks, tupperware parties and other second hand goods exchange get togethers. That might work.

I think we're talking at slightly crossed purposes. Obviously if you go online and start talking about organising a top secret boogaloo revolution movement it will be infiltrated, but people who know each other in person in towns and suburbs can organise to oppose rioting. This already happened several times this year, and it could become more organised from there.

These people have already been lumped in with Patriot Prayer/ Proud Boys/ "boogaloo boys" when they've had any kind of numbers. I definitely agree with you that this kind of action is necessary. One issue I'm finding myself is that I have absolutely zero idea where to find these like-minded individuals, and antifa already has a head start here as they were able to protest Ben Shapiro when he gave a speech a few years back.

The local Libertarian Party is more Gary Johnson crowd than I like.

Generally speaking what happened was that there were rumours of impending riots and local residents turned out armed to stop them. I don't think most of the people who turned out were libertarians, just local people who didn't want their businesses destroyed. Obviously this won't happen if there's no threat of rioting.

Leave politcs out of it. Maybe it would be better to focus on comminity building and get togethers. To build bonds up to the point people rely on each other and help each other when things go south.

That's probably the best way to go, God knows there's been a sense of community missing.

Yes. As I said above, what motivated people to defend themselves from antifa was just fear of rioting, not because they want to form some kind of activist group. Working with the community to build relations is the best way to effectively organise.

Main problem is with any greater organisation outside of small militias is the FBI actively monitors them and nips them in the bud if it looks like they might become any long term problem. So until something happens that completely disrupts the FBI you probably will not see anything on that front.
