Gods, I've tried so much to stay away from this gods aweful place but with Apex (Retro maybe? It's obvious you have something against me when I'm brought up so frequently by you alone.) trying to throw anything and everything about me constantly and now accusing me of tracing it's hard.
I've been an off and on artist for a while, I mainly use base packs as I have arthritus in my hand from it having been broken. I have not traced, I abhore tracing. If you actually look at the links on the front of my page you would see I link my art account. https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/blackheart-studios/ I did not start up drawing just to 'rile up Adiago' as it's been worded. I drew Eclipse a few times actually and back when we were friends I use to do those silly edits to pictures of eels and add drake horns, ears and such for a while. Adiago even had one as her profile ID for a while so me drawing is nothing new.
The eye style I mimic is actually Waitress's style and it's a habit I picked up from using her base packs to make adopts. (You can see one that came with her base here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34360718/ since it was started from her icon base before I mostly drew over it) Otherwise I reference a lot of just anime style things because I'm a weeb.

Eye pits are a thing dinosaurs and komodo dragons have. She cannot copyright that.
In the apology I said "going to reinvent our drakes into a different species (hybrid of existing open species like Felkins or sergals, or another preexisting flat headed drakes with permission from a friend who knows them) or make our own entirely that we'll slowly be working on." my friend group and I chose the latter because we wanted more freedom and had been having binge movie nights of scifi movies and got to brain storming. Which is what we've done.
I also wanted to point out that someone said I didn't reinvent Nyx much and kept as much as possible. You guys really need to realize there was a reason I was attracted to the species in the first place. Flat headed dragons, somewhat real life grounded with kill claws and space. I spend a couple thousand of dollars on that design.
You guys can look on my beware and see what my original form was, and once I let Adiago tell me what was cannon and not I let her change it and we got the silvery blue drake you guys saw. The grey scale ultra non-canon form was my own colours and wouldn't have been accepted anyways and when I sold Eclipse to a buyer who is well aware of what's been surrounded and said they were okay with it (and paid extra to also buy the grey form that I didn't want to sell as I knew I would be keeping her grey). Compare the Adiago abyss drake named Eclipse to Nyx the Virago and they're different. She has a tiger pattern minus the remix of markings my friend came up with. I don't know what more you guys want from me without outright just never having anything that is like a flat head raptor dragon ever again for being scared I'll be brought up here.
Anyways, I really do regret the chargeback and I was a complete fucking idiot for doing that to Efsher. I've apologized so much to her in private as well and ended up paying her an additional 200$ for the edits to my reference because I didn't want her to feel compelled to do extra things for free because of my fuckups.
Also, I changed accounts because I didn't want all of the drama/ artwork I have with my ex fiance popping up under my old username. I wasn't hiding, I would not have linked my new account on my old one if I was.
Edit: Also, the species information also was marked as completely open actually until my friend told me she didn't want to deal with people possibly getting scat, watersports, hyper , etc content drawn as it would heavily disconnect her from drawing the species. I honestly do not care, (I mean, obviously I don't want that drawn but if people do it with their characters I would mark them as non canon and so on.) it's a very soft lock. The list is just to have their references linked.

The need to come in here, make a fool of themselves and try to justify their actions of pirating and already pirated creation is not needed. The excuse of using bases and tracing because of a broken hand is just that; an excuse. There are many artists who work through broken bones, tendon damage and overall debilitating pain just to get their art done and make the money, and they don't use bases let alone trace the art of those who they've had bad business with.
