Here is the little rabbit hole I jumped down last night.

There are a lot of documentaries about what is going on in PNG, but theyre not as interesting as the warfare.
To be thorough I included a 30 minute doc about it anyway below

I have heard the PNG gunsmiths live like kings amongst the rural population
Theyre very rare. They mostly use handmade muskets if I remember correctly

A zillion years ago when I worked retail, I'd have my regular group of customers. One of them was some kind of academic who studies dying Papua New Guinea languages (who claims to have an ED page I still can't find). A real interesting character.

Anyways, he told me one day that apparently one tribe in particular for a manhood ritual would send the boys out to the woods where they'd be jumped and beaten, and then afterwords force them to give oral sex to the men so they can be given "real milk" as opposed to womens fake milk or something.

What I have to say is there's much to learn from the simple, beautiful and in touch with nature tribal people.
