I have been looking at Cuba and it looks stunning. Have any of you ever travelled there before?

The worst part seems all the red tape an American would have to go through to get there.

Has anyone been? would you recommend?

Cuba is 40 minutes away. And my whole life, I've been allowed in. Just don't bring your US Passport.

Cuba is extremely nice, so long as you stick to your guides and stay within the vicinity of your resort. It's a rude awakening of poverty otherwise, god forbid you find yourself looking for weed in the very midst of Varadero.

It's best to have an open-mind while being mindful of the situation. Just don't go being a know-it-all about it.

oh yeah cuba. i mean who wouldnt go? the classic cars, the tropical venues, communist propaganda, state of the art healthcare*, and possibly being thrown in prison for thinking otherwise

*cuba's state of the art healtcare:

For sure. Cuba is a great place if you're a tourist. It's a really nice place but it sucks at the same time, too. Don't mess around with drugs there and if you go off your resort be prepared to see a depressing world. I went to Cuba wanting to see the real Cuba, and when I saw the real Cuba I was like ...damn. This place sucks.

I always love seeing some SJW turd and/or commie piece of shit telling an actual Cuban how great Cuba is, when the dude escaped Cuba by paddling on a fucking inner tube or some shit because of how bad it was.

I'm sure it is (I would say no place is perfect myself). Somehow I always had this kooky idea of wanting to one day work in Cuba, perhaps as a teacher or such, one of those enriching experiences whilst being in a Caribbean setting. Always impressed at the tiny state-run animation outfit they got there (but then again, I suppose that grew out of my love of similar animation I saw coming out of the Soviet Bloc).

Based on from a single blogger's thoughts (I know real authoritative):
Cuba's tourism industry is currently a bunch of skrubs that have to git gud fast if they want to compete in global markets.

I'm sure they wished they'd planned this a few decades sooner.

I know that Donald trump is issuing travel bans recently but so far as Cuba I don't think any travel bans will be put into place because they aren't really islamic there.
It's got nothing to do with Islam as many nations with a much larger population or percentage of Islam are not effected.

Travel to Cuba is open, it has been getting looser in the past 10+ years though, now heck the grey market of Cuban cigars is gone. (killing the value of my humidor reeeeeeeee)

My grandparents went about 5 years ago and all you had to do was go for "education" they went on a "history" tour, but they did honestly want to learn and did history they bumped into people who were there to "learn to dance" IE party. But that was ok to do in the era.

Best part somewhere they got a few "state" gifts, one of them is a VHS tape (so like 2010ish time table) about how great Castro was. Ah commies, your nations are all lolcows.

I really want to go down there and open a Credit Union with some sweet World Bank bucks and try an open an ethical bank because Hilton etc are gonna turn it into Pepsi presents cuba asap and those poor people are going to get fuck in a whole new and different way.
