Ive seen a fair amount of troons and handmaidens saying how this proves that transwomen are hotter than ciswomen and laughing at how terfs are mad at troons in women's beauty competition. They also say that any claim where transwomen are more ugly than ciswomen is false because this one troon won and terfs are inconsistent and whatever.
To this I say, you'll still never be a woman. I could be fat and no one would want to have sex with me but I'd still be a woman and you won't. Same rebuttal that none of them can refute. This also just shows that men will fuck anything that resembles a woman and that this one troon is real "good" at mimicking what a woman should look like (according to society). Androgyny is the preferred look in women's standards of beauty. This is why a lot of models are tall, skinny, and don't have a lot of curves. This really isn't anything new and hits home how this particular troon is good at replicating women's unrealistic beauty standards. Beauty contents are for the male gaze; women don't compare their looks with each other as often as they think. It really isn't the own they think it is.

The only thing it "proves" is that the judges either don't want to be harassed by angry troons or are so progressive that they were willing to overlook the numerous natal women in the pageant to earn themselves some woke points.

Also, is it me or does this troons eyebrows look freaky? It's like he tried to simulate the eyebrow lift that women have but his brow bone doesn't lift up with it, so his eyebrow isnt parallel to the bone and the middle of it just juts out.

With the benefit of the camera angle, makeup, youth, and what I assume is an innately less masculine face than most men have, the troon almost, almost looks like a real woman. His bone structure lands him in uncanny valley territory, of course, but there's a decent chance I might be tricked if the photo wasn't attached to this article.

Yes, but note the original discussion was about general conservative viewpoints, not just opinions on trans people. I do think there will be a gen Z or gen alpha backlash eventually against the transgender show, if only because it will not be seen as cool anymore. When being nonbinary or on estrogen is associated with being in your thirties and fat and out of date with what the kids are doing, those kids will not be lining up to get on board and constantly validate your feelings.

I do not think this will translate to more conservative beliefs in general (in the sense of 'conservatism' as we understand it now in any case). The key to turning people conservative is to offer them a positive stake in the status quo, and young people simply are not getting that anymore. We are in for interesting times. But that is getting off topic.

The pendulum will swing and swing hard or not at all.

Leaving aside the fact that any troon fighting to get into women's gymnastics is obviously doing it to get close to half naked twelve year olds, if they could find someone who really had a talent for it (and wasn't just you typical bank manager in a frock incel), they'd probably be able to smoke the competition simply because the strength advantage would enable them to perform far more difficult manouevres.

I don't think so. Girls can do things boys can't at sports climbing at that age and I think that would apply to gymnastics as well, women can also climb routes men can't as adults due to weight distribution and size. Look at Nadia Comaneci and imagine someone like Rhys trying to muscle his way into her sport.
