The new vegas thing really tops it off, what is it about new vegas that attracts the troons? I understand it has something to do with its moddability, but then why aren't they also playing skyrim?

As someone who's been lurking around in Fallout fandom and seeing all the bullshittery and fandom wars (never change).. I'd say that FNV writing has always been attractive to the worst kind of people... Who only just became troons in the recent years.

You also need to take a look at their favourite games, Fallout 2 and New Vegas, written by Chris Avellone. These are actually good games .. that shine very well with branching paths, complexities and cause and effects. There are so many ways to play that you could very well 'live in the game' and waste so many hours of your life in...

But a lot of time, these storylines are filled with unnecessary meme-y presentation of mature themes such as slavery, prostitution and the world of vice (I meant... it's post-appcalyptic setting... But hear me out) at the same time, it's also filled with a lot of dumb nerd media references too. And regardless how complex the storyline can be. The writing style in those two games are extremely straightforward, the NPCs are going on gloating and explaining their plans and philosophy to your faces in details...

and it seems to be present in Fallout New Vegas fans seem to be notoriously bad at deciphering unreliable narrator... And tend to think that Fallout 4's intentional inconsistencies and heavy reliance of unreliable narrator as wholly 'bad writing' because they expect everyone in the game to speak to them truthfully or make it obvious that they lie. I must admit, there are a LOT of stupid bits with Fallout 4 (even more so than NV) and I don't disagree that Bethesda writing is flawed and getting shittier each days... But most of their argument against Bethesda tend to be the most pedantic and pointless autistic shit you'll ever seen...

.... So, here are the games that are so detailed and giving the players power fantasy... that it's perfect for escapism, the writing also pretend to be deep and philosophical..., because the oh so edgy detachment verysmartness... yet it's also clear cut and doesn't require contextual thinking or reading between the line to consume them because characters all spell it out for you.

Now imagine the kind of fans that are going to like this particular style of writing.

We know that spaying and neutering dogs too early can have deleterious effects later in life where those snipped after a certain point of maturity do not suffer nearly as much.

There's zero chance blockers aren't having other deleterious effects given the scope of what they do, block growth hormones, but good luck convincing anyone in academia to study that.

Again I must stress that the governor's letter was specifically about gender affirming surgery (chop shop) and NOT puberty blockers - which WPATH considers a non reversible surgery and is basically contraindicated. Like straight up the letter is basically calling out something WPATH says shouldn't be done to minors (besides the teet yeet in very specific circumstances) so if "it never happens" then there's no cause for concern about medical malpractice or child abuse.
